In my area, there are multiple turf suppliers to choose from. GST has good grass, but the issue is that they don't have a local branch in New Jersey so I have to pay for shipping with every order. I'm not sure if it's worth it for us to do so when I can just pick up at a local vendor. The difference in grass quality might be worth it, but in times like these, we need to make sure we are spending our money efficiently to stay in business. Like the products and service, but not the shipping costs.

I was looking for an artificial turf company with a good online reputation or a personal reference from someone that has used the company. I was shopping at a landscape supply store in my city and saw a display rack of artificial turf. I started talking to the gentleman at the counter and he educated me a lot about artificial turf, how to install it and maintain it. He said they have used a manufacturer of artificial turf called Global Syn Turf for the last 8 years. He mentioned they have been very reliable, make a great turf, stand behind the turf with a 15 year Manufacturer's Product Warranty. He gave me some free samples to take home with me and gave me a phone number of three different installers they refer for synthetic grass installation. I called all three installers and had them come out measure my yard and give me a written estimate. All three estimates came in about the same with about the same square footage. I looked up all three installers online and went with the one that has the best online reviews. They installed the grass last week and presented me with the 1 year labor warranty and the 15 year Manufacturer's Product Warranty Certificate. I want to thank my local landscape supply company, Global Syn Turf and the installation company that did such a great job on my yard. I recommend all these companies to anyone considering artificial turf in their front or backyard.
Grass lawns' notion being installed at a house front and back yards originated from England where the weather is quite accommodating to grow and preserve natural grass. Here in particular states that are dry, such thought only won't fly! In cities located in desert regions for example Las Vegas, Nevada, Arizona and Phoenix, natural grass that is growing is extremely difficult. People are tired of plain and boring cement or rockery appearance and lots of desert scape notions will not meet most homeowners' desire for "green". Artificial grass supplies a perfect alternative in such situations. As an industry, artificial grass is not too new, it has existed for more than five decades. However, to the public, synthetic grass looks quite new.
"What? Unreal grass? Seriously? Imitation?" Don't scorn. Synthetic turf is moving beyond football fields and golf courses to be common in home landscapes. When Steve Wallace of Santa Monica, California went for synthetic lawn, he decided for long blades and a dark green color a look he couldn't achieve with his lawn before, which on hot summer days (one hundred degrees or more) turned to dust, and on rainy days turned into a mud pit. Tired of re-sodding two times a year not to mention the endless watering and mowing the 43-year-old homeowner was extremely happy to plunk down $5,000 to see installers peel away his old lawn. Now, he says, two little kids and his two dogs can romp and roll around without enduring the plastic rug burn of yore, or tearing up the turf. And maybe best of all is how grassy it looks.
"People have to go up close to it, he says, before they say, Wow, this isn't real.
Makers credit the new "you coulda fooled me" look to the marvels of science. Global Syn-Turf's Dave Maronic, for one, tends to lapse into sports car speak when describing the "blend of aesthetics and functionality" offered by the firm's latest creation, a compact grass it calls Double W series, which contains such space age-seeming attributes as "Double W shaped blades" and "No-shine technology." The initial price on synthetic turf is higher than natural grass, but given the fact of most of synthetic grass will last at least from eight to ten years, such investment nonetheless makes sense for most homeowners, particularly those live in "desert cities".

With raising popularity of synthetic turf it becomes a target for arguments. Is it worth to install artificial grass in your back or front yard? What are the Pros? To answer such question, let us look at the "No More List".
Forget about watering, say "bye bye" to high-priced water statements.
Forget about mowing, either you're idle or you would like to spend additional time with family and your children, throw away your lawn mower, lay back and have fun.
Forget about substances, substances like fertilizers for yard that is natural will eventually wind up in our land and water that is subterranean, great health risks that are current to human life.

In drought-prone regions, municipalities have supplied tax rebates for residents who remove places of yard that was natural.
Climate changes such as longer, colder winters and raining seasons have made the demand for indoor sport facilities skyrocketing! Mega sized indoor sports facilities normally over 300,000 sf., are being built throughout the country. Most of these facilities are designed for multiple sports applications and to create the flexibility of switching among different sport applications can be a very challenging task. "People want to play soccer in these facilities while the weather is not permitting outside," - said Dave Maronic, Vice President of Global Syn-Turf, Inc., a synthetic grass manufacturer based in Hayward, California, "But we can't grow grass lawns in these indoor facilities, artificial grass surface becomes the only solution for this demand." Most of the artificial grass for sports applications are designed for outdoor fields which are tall blades and require a lot of infills of rubber and sand mix. Such systems are permanent and won't work for an indoor application.
The indoor sport facilities owners want to maximize the use of their facilities: for example, a facility owner would like to has his facility to play soccer for 3 month, ice hockey 3 for two month, baseball for 3 month and football for 3 month, or simply play a few hours of each sport during a day. Velcro to be used in such installations which make the install and removal of both the turf and pads very easy. For smaller areas, using 2'x2' interlocked artificial grass pads will be ideal: this product is just like any other interlocked sports surfaces, in artificial grass. The soccer team can come in right after a basket ball practices, and put these pads together themselves, a few minutes later, a hard surface becomes soccer field!

To hold the turf down it requires infills to be installed onto the grass to help the blades of grass stand up. The grass backing is also protected by it from uv beams which may cause damage and void guarantees. Some artificial grass infill choices are ZeoFill, Green sand, TCool, Silica Sand, ZeoFill. Among all, ZeoFill is the option for synthetic turf infill for playgrounds and pet owners. Dog owners with artificial grass yards are fought with pee odors for years.. A lot of people want to water down their turf one time a week to remove the odor but never functioned correctly because water doesn't have sufficient power to shove bacteria deep into the earth. ZeoFill is made from a natural resource in the world which will be a negatively charged honeycombed molecular structure that prevents the ammonia from forming a gas and consumes the urine. Nevertheless, ZeoFill will not remove bacteria that are poor. To remove poor bacteria, Global Syn-Turf, Inc. urges nits really own Synthetic Grass Pet Odor Neutralizer, this enzyme products are not only going to neutralize the pet smell, but also remove poor bacteria and clean the turf, using this along with Zeofill will reach the perfect results on pet's scent control!
The ZeoFill granule will hold the ammonia water until it's cleaned out the ZeoFill with the enzyme solution or significant rainwater flushes. The ZeoFill granules will be trapped inside the turf system and contains a 5 year guarantee on deterioration.
