In the past decade, the use of "new generation" artificial turf has become quite common throughout the United States. Synthetic grass applications that not related to sport fields are getting really popular in western states such as California, Arizona and Nevada. Such states are areas where outdoor water use is restricted or low maintenance is desired. Common applications include veterinary clinics, animal shelters, golf practice ranges, school yards, residential lawns, and low water use landscapes.
The market of residential lawns has been growing at an average annual rate of thirty five percent even during the economy downturns. As market grows, prices are coming down dramatically which in turn to fuel further market growth! Alvin Balahadia used to work for an artificial grass installation company in San Jose, California, he remembers how the selling of synthetic grass for residential lawn applications fifteen years ago: You walked in a house as a salesman, the first question to the homeowners was: "Do you know the artificial grass is a luxury thing, only the top ten percent of the household can afford it?" This might sound humiliating but true. Fifteen years ago, the turn key price for installing artificial grass in San Francisco Bay Area was between $22.00 and $26.00 per square foot, while today's price range is between $8.00 and $14.00 per square foot. Such price range is still much higher than natural grass. "The normal life expectancy of artificial grass is about 15 years. If you can get your investment back within first five years by saving money on water and maintenance, then you enjoy the beautiful lawn for the next 10 years without any water bills and the hassles of mowing and trimming, will you do it? I know I will." Said Alvin Balahadia :"It is a great investment on your house as houses with synthetic grass lawns are considered with upgraded premium options here in San Francisco Bay Area and other dry states like Arizona and Nevada."
On average, a household in San Francisco Bay Area can save between $600.00 and $1,200.00 annually on water bill along if they get rid of the natural grass lawns.

There are a lot of artificial grass firms out there claiming they offer pet grass products, which make people consider they've many alternatives for fashions and different quality of artificial dog grass. The reality is they do not. Because 90% of all man-made, synthetic grass or turf is made in or near Dalton, Georgia by carpet makers, the machines that make carpeting also make man-made synthetic turf using a "tufting machine." The only difference between carpet and artificial turf is the yarn that is employed and the rubber backing. Global Syn Turf's petgrass is a real deal. Their petgrass attributes unique Flo-Rite-Thru technology with a proprietary backing and integrated antimicrobials permeable, GST petgrass needs less water and empties 50 times faster.
When referring to Pet's turf, most people tend to concentrate on the grass products itself and discount the fact and advantage of the turf system of a Pet. So that you can make the grass of Pet successful, obviously the synthetic grass is the center piece of the system, other components also need to be seriously considered. ZeoFill, a natural mineral powdery particles have to be used as an "infill" to be fusion into the Pet's turf, which will behave as a neutralizing agent to minimize the odor of pee. A well prepared 3-4" base with compacted crushed rocks and decomposed granite is certainly required to allow proper drainage. Global Syn Turf's Synthetic Grass Pet Odor Neutralizer should be used to remove any pet's scents. From time to time, pets owners should broom up the turf of the Pet through the use of such product as Global Syn-Turf's Turf Groom.

Backyard putting greens are fantastic way of bringing together friends and family to enjoy the outdoors. When you have people over, there is constantly something to do," says Richard Stoltz of New Mexico Synthetic Turf in Albuquerque, NM. I the past, individuals have been attempting to install real grass putting greens turned out that no matter how hard you try, it is just not possible to maintain it! Artificial turf also has an even surface that's ideal for putting. Synthetic greens are almost maintenance free. They're competent to resist temperatures that are hot or cold, as well as wet conditions, and are just about constantly prepared for play.
A backyard putting green has this kind of great social component to it that you'll use it a lot more if it's close to other amusing spaces or patios. An one that is flat -hole putting green gets boring quick. However, if you make it challenging, family and friends will enjoy the putting green for many years to come. Using a few undulations, knolls, a sand pit, and about three holes will help to make sure it stays playable and interesting. With the pressures of school, work, and other activities family members don't get home until after dark. Incorporate low voltage landscape lighting to expand the number of hours each day that individuals can use it, in a nice mood.

Artificial grass is a wonderful option for a sustainable, low maintenance alternative to organic turf. Long lasting and permanent along with low upkeep has made synthetic grass the top option for playgrounds.
The NYC Department of Parks has been installing artificial turf widely throughout the parks system. As of 2007, 118 artificial turf installations were finished and an added 91 under building! New York City leads all other municipalities in the nation in the use of artificial turf.
Synthetic turf advantages proceed beyond beauty and the functionality of the surface. "Going green" is becoming a crucial focus in many sectors, and some synthetic turf companies are offering environmentally friendly products to address these needs. By utilizing sustainable and recycled parts, some synthetic grass products are up to 35 percent green by weight. Because of these eco friendly attributes, utilizing the synthetic grass products that are more innovative can help a landscape architect earn LEED credits.
Global Syn-Turf is an exclusive artificial grass partner of San Francisco 49ers.
Artificial grass first gained substantial attention in the 1960s, when it was used in the recently built Astrodome. Nevertheless, the first generation was just a green plastic variation of carpeting, quite artificial! Artificial turf can withstand more use and can hence be used much more frequently. This allows sports ground owners to create more income. The upkeep cost on synthetic grass sports fields is only 1/5 of that of real grass.
Since the early 1990s, using synthetic grass in the more arid Western states of America has proceeded quickly beyond athletic fields to residential and commercial landscaping. The dramatic advancement in the quality and assortment of available synthetic grasses, the decreased cost of care and upkeep has driven this tendency compared to natural grass.

Most synthetic turf products require infills which to be installed onto the grass between blades to help the blades of grass stand up and also hold the turf down. In addition, it protects the grass backing from ultraviolet rays that could cause damage and void guarantees. Some artificial grass infill options are ZeoFill, Green sand, Copper slag, Silica Sand and Rubber. Among all, ZeoFill is the choice for synthetic turf infill for playgrounds and pet owners. Dog owners with artificial grass lawns have been struggled with urine smells for years.. Many individuals want to water down their turf one time a week to get rid of the smell but never worked correctly because water from a hose does not have enough force to shove bacteria deep into the earth. ZeoFill is made out of a natural resource from the earth that is a negatively charged honey combed molecular structure that prevents the ammonia from forming a gas to become smelly and absorbs the urine. ZeoFill pulls any gases towards itself and hold it until sodium ion (Na ) in rain water releases the magnetivity and the force of heavy rainfall will flush out the bacteria, compelling it through the turf into the earth making your turf virtually new again. The sodium forces the calcium ions out and recharges the ZeoFill when dry. Nevertheless, ZeoFill will not remove bacteria that are poor. To remove poor bacteria, Global Syn-Turf, Inc. recommends nits very own Synthetic Grass Pet Odor Neutralizer, this enzyme products will not just neutralize the pet odor, but also remove poor bacteria and clean the turf, using this along with Zeofill will realize the best possible results on pet's odor control!
The ZeoFill granule will hold the ammonia water until it is cleaned out the ZeoFill with the enzyme solution or significant rainwater flushes. The ZeoFill granules will be trapped inside the turf system and contains a 5 year warranty on deterioration.
The main advantages of artificial turf are that it doesnt need water, fertilizer, or mowing. It holds up to wear and tear far better than natural grass. Many are dog durable and gopher proof (there are no roots to eat). Its safe for children and pets with regards to not twisting ankles in gopher holes. Its easy to clean with a hose and doesnt attract bugs and pests. You cant get grass stains and it wont have bare or brown spots. Artificial grass lawn is not necessarily maintenance free, but low maintenance to be more accurate. Nearly three years ago, Phil Jackson, a homeowner lives in Dallas, Texas, learned about artificial grass at a local home and remodeling show. They decided to have Synthetic Grass Pro lay down more than 1,200 square feet of artificial lawn outside their house. Today, the lawn "looks as good as the day it was installed," said Phil. "In the fall I use a carpet rake and a leaf blower to clean up and remove willow leaves. We pick up animal waste every day and dog urine hasn't discolored it. Once every two weeks or so I hose it down a little to remove any residue and freshen it up. But my real priority was to get away from the high water use landscape that we previously had." Most homeowners with artificial lawn installed are general happy due to the fact of low maintenance, instead of spending time and money on mowing natural grass lawns, homeowners now have more time and budget for other family activities.
There is certainly a need for artificial grass sports fields when it comes to the usability and maintenance. This is at all levels. For example, in the northeast, there has been so many cancellations in baseball because of the rain. Even when it is not raining and a game could be played on synthetic, the games have to be cancelled. Synthetic fields would help to avoid cancellations. Many sport fields installation pros, who can be all for natural grass, agree that there is a tremendous danger factor if the natural grass fields are not maintained correctly which takes a great deal of money, time, and a lot of experience to accomplish. Synthetic grass fields on the other hands will minimize or eliminate such costs and headaches.

October 11, 2018 12:37 AM - An American and Russian astronaut have survived an emergency landing in Kazakhstan after the Soyuz rocket carrying them to the International Space Station failed in mid-flight. The latest in a long string of Russian rocket crashes, Thursday's star-crossed flight is yet another black eye for the Roscosmos space agency, which remains the only reliable way to get to the ISS. The Russian-made rocket began to plummet to earth a little more than two minutes into the six-hour mission due to a “vehicle malfunction”. The engines were seen to cut out in the air, after which the Soyuz MS-10 spaceship holding Russian commander Alexei Ovchinin and Nasa astronaut Nick Hague jettisoned from the drifting launch vehicle. An internal camera showed the capsule jerking the pair around violently as the flight malfunctioned. The capsule's parachute deployed successfully, however, landing them on the grassy steppe near Zhezkazgan, about 250 miles from the Baikonur cosmodrome rented by Russia. State media showed rescuers helping the two crew members into a helicopter, and Nasa said the men were in good condition. “Vehicle malfunction. That was a quick flight,” Mr Ovchinin declared dryly over the radio at the beginning of the emergency descent. Adding to the embarrassment was a string of tweets by Roscosmos detailing the successful completion of three launch stages that never actually happened. The agency later deleted tweets with false information such as “287 seconds: The second stage successfully jettisoned”. Russia's space agency has deleted the tweets detailing the successful launch that didn't actually happen, but here are screenshots. Astronauts emergency landing location – Kazakhstan Part of the second stage may have gotten caught on the first due to “poor fastening,” pushing the craft off-course and causing the emergency shutdown of the engines, Interfax news agency quoted a space industry source as saying. Further Roscosmos launches have been suspended, Mr Borisov said. Another two-man Russian-American crew had been scheduled to set out for the space station on 20 December. An American, a Russian and a German astronaut who had planned to return from the ISS on the Soyuz MS-10 ship will have to reconsider their plans. Roscosmos tweeted photographs of Mr Rogozin speaking with Mr Hague and Mr Ovchinin while they relaxed on couches with blood pressure and pulse monitors on their arms. After a medical examination they would fly back to Moscow, it said. Russian experts said the astronauts, both former military pilots, had been trained to withstand even more intense g-forces. In a gross human error, an unmanned Soyuz rocket launched from Russia's new Vostochny cosmodrome in November crashed into the Atlantic Ocean after it was programmed with the launch coordinates for Baikonur. The disaster, which came after Mr Rogozin had declared the mission a success, destroyed 19 international satellites worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Alexei Ovchinin and Nick Hague wave to onlookers before boarding the spacecraft Credit: Sergei Savostyanov/TASS/Barcroft In 2013, a Proton-M rocket carrying three satellites for the Glonass navigation system, Russia's rival to GPS, burst into flames and slammed into the crowd on live television. Mr Rogozin, who was sanctioned by the United States and European Union in 2014 over Russia's intervention in Ukraine crisis, lost his position as deputy prime minister this year but retained much of his influence with the appointment as head of Roscosmos. Speaking to state television on Thursday, he praised the "calm actions" of the crew and ground controllers but said conclusions about the crash could only come later. The ISS, which has been circling the earth at more than 17,000 miles per hour since 1998, is one of the few remaining areas of cooperation between Moscow and Washington amid rising political tensions. Mr Hague was born in 1975, the year the United States and Soviet Union launched their first joint space mission.
