California's Water Reduction Mandate Feeds Artificial Grass Industry

California landscape management company owners and lawn care contractors and gardeners stand to benefit by adopting artificial grass installation as one of the services they provide to their customers. Artificial grass installations are increasing dramatically and will continue to increase now that Gov.

Jerry Brown has mandated a 25% reduction in water use. This is directed primarily at homeowners who waste water watering their lawns. Many of these homeowners will opt to install artificial grass instead. Jerry Brown has also mandated that 50 million square feet of field turf be replaced with drought tolerant alternatives such as artificial grass. One installer who's seen his business skyrocket is a landscape management company owner in Mill Valley.

He says that business is booming right now and that he feels like a genius for purchasing the artificial grass company in 2010. At first it was supposed to be an auxiliary part of his business but has quickly become one of the primary sources of revenue for his company. Indeed, now is the perfect time to add artificial grass installation to your list of services, as more and more requests start to crop up from homeowners and business looking to retain their green lawns while losing 25% of their water consumption.
