I live in Minnesota and it gets cold, rain, snow and heat. I have been wanting to get artificial turf but I wanted to make sure it held up to all the weather conditions here in my state. Not many companies talk about these issues and concerns. One of my colleges actually referred me to Global Syn Turf. He had bought some artificial turf from them about 3 years ago. I called them and they referred me to their dealer here in Minnesota. I spoke with Ken who was very informed on artificial turf especially as it concerns the cold, heat, rain and snow. He gave me some addresses of artificial turf jobs that he had installed in the area. I drove by each and everyone of them and I have to say they all looked great. The yard I like most had the S Blade 90 installed. The grass had been installed for 3 years and still looked amazing. I had Ken give me an estimate to have my yard installed with S Blade 90 synthetic grass. His price was very fair plus he agreed to do a few more things in my yard I needed done. I has been exactly 2 weeks now and my new artificial turf lawn looks amazing. I want to thank Global Syn Turf and Ken here in Minnesota and give 5 stars.

I have been considering artificial turf for my three commercial pre-schools that have playgrounds. I started my research online and found Global Syn Turf and their website was very educational and helpful. I called them to ask them more questions about playgrounds and artificial turf and spoke with a manager named Jim. Jim educated me on artificial turf as it applies to commercial playgrounds. He mentioned they sold 4 different types of Playground Pads that create different Critical Fall Heights for the children falling off playground equipment. Right now I have either sand or bark for the critical fall height and it is messy, ugly and not very effective for critical fall heights. Jim recommend I call the Global Syn Turf dealer in Minneapolis to get a quote and more detail about the installation process. I had one of their representatives come out to measure all three preschools and give me a bid. He educated me on the fall height requirements for the different playground equipment I had at each property. As it turns out I needed to meet different fall height requirements at each property. He recommended the different Playground Pad thicknesses for each property and gave me a bid. This company seemed reputable and their price was very reasonable. I hired them to put artificial turf at all three properties. It took about 4 weeks to do all three properties, but they are finally all done. I want to give a big thanks to Global Syn Turf and their dealer here in Minneapolis that have made me a full believer in artificial turf.
Grass lawns' notion being installed at a house front and back yards originated from England where the weather is quite accommodating to grow and preserve natural grass. Here in particular states that are dry, such thought only won't fly! In cities located in desert regions for example Las Vegas, Nevada, Arizona and Phoenix, natural grass that is growing is extremely difficult. People are tired of plain and boring cement or rockery appearance and lots of desert scape notions will not meet most homeowners' desire for "green". Artificial grass supplies a perfect alternative in such situations. As an industry, artificial grass is not too new, it has existed for more than five decades. However, to the public, synthetic grass looks quite new.
"What? Unreal grass? Seriously? Imitation?" Don't scorn. Synthetic turf is moving beyond football fields and golf courses to be common in home landscapes. When Steve Wallace of Santa Monica, California went for synthetic lawn, he decided for long blades and a dark green color a look he couldn't achieve with his lawn before, which on hot summer days (one hundred degrees or more) turned to dust, and on rainy days turned into a mud pit. Tired of re-sodding two times a year not to mention the endless watering and mowing the 43-year-old homeowner was extremely happy to plunk down $5,000 to see installers peel away his old lawn. Now, he says, two little kids and his two dogs can romp and roll around without enduring the plastic rug burn of yore, or tearing up the turf. And maybe best of all is how grassy it looks.
"People have to go up close to it, he says, before they say, Wow, this isn't real.
Makers credit the new "you coulda fooled me" look to the marvels of science. Global Syn-Turf's Dave Maronic, for one, tends to lapse into sports car speak when describing the "blend of aesthetics and functionality" offered by the firm's latest creation, a compact grass it calls Double W series, which contains such space age-seeming attributes as "Double W shaped blades" and "No-shine technology." The initial price on synthetic turf is higher than natural grass, but given the fact of most of synthetic grass will last at least from eight to ten years, such investment nonetheless makes sense for most homeowners, particularly those live in "desert cities".

There are so many artificial grass companies in Bygland, Minnesota claiming they offer pet grass products, which make people believe they have many choices for different quality and styles of artificial dog grass. The reality is they do not. Because 90% of all artificial, synthetic grass or turf is made in or near Dalton, Georgia by carpet manufacturers, the machines that make carpet also make artificial synthetic turf using a "tufting machine." The only difference between artificial turf and carpet is the yarn that is used and the rubber backing. Artificial grass companies that advertise pet turf, dog grass, dog turf, pooch grass, potty grass, and many other names that appeal to dog owners are merely selling an existing grass product that they renamed to appeal to pet owners. Global Syn-Turf's petgrass is a real deal. Their petgrass features unique Flo-Rite-Thru technology with integrated antimicrobials and a proprietary backing that is 100% permeable, GST pet grass drains 50 times faster and requires less water for cleaning.
When referring to Pet's turf in Bygland, Minnesota, most people tend to focus on the grass products itself too much and ignore the fact and benefit of a Pet's turf system. Obviously the synthetic grass is the center piece of the system, in order to make Pet's grass effective, other components also need to be seriously considered. ZeoFill, a natural mineral powdery particles need to be used as an "infill" to be blend into the Pet's turf, which will act as a neutralizing agent to minimize the smell of urine. A well prepared 3-4" base with compacted crushed rocks and decomposed granite is absolutely required to allow proper drainage. Global Syn-Turf's Synthetic Grass Pet Odor Neutralizer should be used to eliminate any pet's smells. From time to time, pets owners need to broom up the Pet's turf by using such product as Global Syn-Turf's Turf Groom.
When it comes to your playground use in Bygland, Minnesota, what's the concern that is most essential? Security! We want our kids to play on the safe surface potential when playing in a playground. Artificial grass installed over a foundation that is proper can offer an ASTM security rating for fall heights up to 12 feet which will be a conventional natural grass never can reach! A correctly certified jurisdiction should also have a soft, consistent surface that is ADA accessible for wheelchair access that is easy. Since the grass won't displace like loose fill or wood chips, the safety rating isn't difficult to maintain even under play equipment. The synthetic grass on the market in Bygland, Minnesota now provides an extremely natural appearance. Those who have seen the latest products in many cases are surprised at how real it appears. Kids stay cleaner when they play on a synthetic grass surface. There's no sand or other loose fill to be in the kids' clothes, hair, eyes, or mouth. Some synthetic grass products are made with built-in antimicrobial agents to help protect against other microbes and bacteria.
Artificial grass low maintenance and unique longevity can meet almost all budgets of a playground project. Based on a combined survey by Los Angeles Times and Sacramento Bee, synthetic grass for playgrounds lasts longer and usually costs less than pour-in-place surfaces. While pour-in-place normally needs repairs after about five years, the practical longevity of artificial grass is nearer or more. Synthetic grass systems designed specifically for playgrounds can offer a guarantee of up to eight years, with little noticeable fading even in excessive temperatures. Repairs on pour-in-place surfaces are generally expensive and unattractive. With synthetic grass, repairs are considerably less regular, and they are virtually unnoticeable when they're done.
Artificial grass is more durable than organic grass and may be used without the rest intervals that organic lawn requires to maintain the grass healthy. For example, the New York Department of Parks and Recreation (NYCDPR) quotes that on an annual basis, let use (hours per year) for synthetic turf sports fields is 28-percent greater than for grass fields that are natural. Synthetic turf's care prices will change depending on the use and design of the field, but are normally believed to be lower compared to the maintenance costs of organic grass. Normal grass requires fertilizer application, standard cutting, insect control and potentially sprinkling. Artificial grass needs repairing stitches replacing in-fill materials and eliminating weeds and moss moss. Specialized equipment, which may or may not be contained in the purchase cost of the area, is needed for these activities.
With regards to the synthetic grass fields installations in Bygland, Minnesota, most of installers have now been using crumb rubber along with silica sands as the principal infills. The blades of sport field artificial lawn products are at least 2-1/4" tall which supply room enough for infills. The aim of having infills in sport fields is to provide enough cushioning for the fields hence to reduce the risks of human anatomy harms. Sand combination and crumb rubber can serve such purpose very well. Crumb rubber is made by grinding used wheels. Steel and fiber fatigue parts are eliminated during the procedure and the rubber pellets are sorted by size. Pellet sizes starting from about one sixteenth to one quarter inch in size are applied to synthetic turf. Crumb rubber is commonly applied at a rate of 2-3 pounds per square foot of area surface. Studies have already been conducted from the California Environment Protection Agency Office of Environmental Health Hazard Evaluation and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health to assess the potential for consumption exposure to the chemicals in crumb rubber by youngsters playing on synthetic turf. Both studies concluded that health hazards to children resulting from the ingestion of crumb rubber are not high.
Nevertheless, there continue to be a lot people in Bygland, Minnesota do not enjoy the notion to make use of the crumb rubber in synthetic grass sport areas, it may get real popular to amounts of discomfort, in addition to the rubber may get on people's body and travel on and off the area. Several parents have complained their kids were covered with black rubbers after playing on the fields. Again, although the available info on crumb rubber and crumb rubber in-filled turf fields indicates that intake, skin or inhalation exposures to compounds in or discharged from crumb rubber do not introduce a significant public health concern, leading artificial grass businesses including Global Syn-Turf, Inc. was operating on new technologies and methods to get rid of the rubbers and take the synthetic grass sport areas applications to a new "All Green" level.

A December 2009 U.S. Environment Protection Agency scoping study of the health dangers from inhalation, ingestion, and dermal contact with artificial turf and crumb rubber found every evaluation result to be "below levels of concern."
The Ca EPA launched a study dated July 2009 which signified there is an insignificant individual health threat from inhaling the atmosphere above artificial lawn.
Impartial evaluations conducted from the New York State Department of Environment Conservation and New York State Division of Health, released in May 2009, proved there were no important health concerns at artificial grass fields.
Most of artificial grass requires infills which to be installed onto the grass between blades to help the blades of grass stand up and also hold the turf down. It also protects the grass backing from ultraviolet rays which could eventually cause damage and void warranties. Some artificial grass infill options are ZeoFill, Green sand, TCool, Silica Sand. Among all, ZeoFill is the #1 choice for synthetic turf infill for pet owners and playgrounds. Dog owners with artificial grass lawns have been struggled with urine smells for years.. Even though some leading turf manufacturers such as Global Syn-Turf, Inc. has made antimicrobial pet turf to resist the bacterial ammonia from adhering to the turf fibers, but regular infills would still hold ammonia urine resulting in a great deal of smell. Many people are trying to water down their turf once a week to get rid of the smell but never worked properly because water from a hose does not have enough force to push bacteria deep into the ground. ZeoFill is made out of a natural resource from the earth which is a negatively charged honey-combed molecular structure that absorbs the urine like a magnet and prevents the ammonia from forming a gas to become smelly. ZeoFill pulls any gases towards itself and hold it until sodium ion (Na) in rain water releases the magnetivity and the force of heavy rainfall will flush out the bacteria, forcing it through the turf into the ground making your turf virtually new again. The sodium forces the calcium ions out and recharges the ZeoFill when dry. However, ZeoFill will not remove bad bacteria. To remove bad bacteria, Global Syn-Turf, Inc. recommends nits very own Synthetic Grass Pet Odor Neutralizer, this enzyme products will not only neutralize the pet odor, but also remove bad bacteria and clean the turf, using this along with ZeoFill will achieve the best possible results on pet's odor control!
To maximize the Benefits of ZeoFill, always install it on top of turf not under turf: When your dog urinates on the turf, the urine will instantly be consumed by the ZeoFill granules preventing ammonia bacteria particles from traveling through the turf. The ZeoFill granule will hold the ammonia water until it is cleaned with an enzyme solution or heavy rainwater flushes out the ZeoFill. The ZeoFill granules will be trapped inside the turf system and has a 5 year warranty on deterioration.
