How do you replace old turf with new turf?

If I already have turf installed in my yard, but I am interested in a different color/model, how would I replace it? Would the process be difficult? Would I be able to do this myself or would I have to have a professional installer do it for me?

It will be very easy to replace the existing artificial grass with new, especially if your original turf installation was done correctly. The original sub base and the size of your turf will be the key factors for me to make a suggestion on if the replacement can be done by yourself. If your sub base is in great shape, and your area doesn't require seaming or you have confidence to handle the seaming part of the replacement, you then can try to do the replacement by yourself. The process will be as simply as following:

1. Remove existing turf: To make it easy, you don't have to try get old turf out as a big piece, you might find it easier to cut the turf up into several smaller pieces at removal.

2. Make sure the sub base is in good shape: compacted well and smooth.

3. Disposal of old turf.

4. Lay new turf by using nails along the perimeters, infills on the turf.
