If you are not able to excavate the roadway and build a sub base for your turf, you can use drainage board underneath to create drainage capability. Our artificial grass products have excellent drainage capacities themselves, however, without proper sub base you will not be able to materialize the turf’s drainage. For normal installations, we recommend to excavate about 3”-4” and use drain rock and decomposed granite to build a solid yet porous base before installing turf over. Or a drainage board should be used. To find out more about the normal sub base, please visit our installation guide at: https://www.globalsynturf.com/installation-guides. For more information about using drainage boards and you have an account with us, please feel free to call us at 877 796 8873 or email us at [email protected] so we can connect you with your service representative. Yes, our Riviera Monterey-50 can be used for indoor sports, please be aware that the longevity of all artificial grass used for sports either indoors or outdoors will depend on the usage time, more specifically how many hours per day and how many days a week. Obviously the longer and more frequent the turf being played on, the shorter lifespan of the turf. For specific requests or questions, please feel free to call us at 877 796 8873 or email us at [email protected], thank you.

15x19 is a rather small area, adding infills onto such small piece of turf can be easy: you can simply hold the infill bags and spread the infills onto the artificial grass surface, then using a push broom to brush the infills into the turf. You can always check out our installation guidelines by visiting this link: https://www.globalsynturf.com/installation-guides. Sometimes installers will use nails in the putting green turf to stabilize the installation. However, the. Type of nails used has to be without heads (or pins) and once installed, people won’t notice them at all. Regular 40D or 60D will probably not work as the mail heads will be exposed. I hope your installer has used the correct nails that not visible on your green,  of course it will always be ideal to only have infills to hold the turf in place without using any nails. At the installation of artificial grass, infills will need to be brushed in by using a power broom or a push broom or even power washer. Such actions will get the infills settled at least 70-90% and your turf can be used immediately. Given time, the infills will settle in more which is not noticeable at all l, nor such settling will affect how the turf being used. It depends on the traffic and usage. In many cases such as front yard, the traffic and usage can be very minimal and people will never need to brush the turf at all. For heavy traffic and usage areas, the artificial grass blades will flatten down more and brushing might be needed periodically. Please let us know more about your project by call us at 877 796 8873 or email us at [email protected] so we can provide better suggestions, thank you.

We typically won’t recommend using soil as artificial grass sub base, instead crushed road base and decomposed granite will be the choice for solid and smooth surface to lay your turf on. I am not sure if this answers your question. If your concern is if the soil under the turf will become less fertile, then you can have a peace of mind that the soil will not be affected with turf over it. For any further questions, please call us at 877 796 8873 or email us at [email protected], thank you.

We use exactly the same yarns for both Cashmere-40 and Cashmere-70 turf products. The two major differences between these two products are:

1. Faceweight: Cashmere-40’s faceweight is 40 oz per square yard, and Cashmere-70’s faceweight is 70 oz per square yard.

2. Pile height: CM-40’s pile height is 1-1/2”, and-70’s pile height is 2”.
