Independence Day is a federal holiday. As a general rule celebrated on July 4, spoken: "the Fourth of July." That's what makes our country marvelous and extraordinarily different from anywhere else in the world. We have freedom! Freedom thousands of Americans in the past had a vision for, the idea of independence they were ready to die for, for us - people they would never live to see. How do we use our freedom? Do we use it at all, or perhaps "independence" slowly became just another word in our vocabulary?

Your small puppy is sitting in the grass, looking towards the camera, expressive eyebrows drew up high. We call them "puppy dog eyes." Are all dogs born with those sweet, sad, capturing our hearts expression? Dogs evolved to have expressive eyebrows precisely because we are so affected by puppy dog eyes. The eyebrows help dogs communicate how they are feeling to their owner.

Fall injuries, scrapes, and cuts are not a typical picture of having fun. When it comes to our children's safety, we always want to remove challenges as much as we can. Pain is an inevitable part of life, but suffering is optional. You can't control the weather, but you can save a few scraped knees. You can't stop kids from being impulsive, but you can give them a soft place to fall.

As much as you love your dogs, they can be tough on the lawn. Between bare spots from digging, kicking and rolling, dead grass from urine damage, a well-groomed backyard and your best friend's happiness are mutually exclusive. However, a playful pup doesn't have to be a reason to scrutinize your home resale value. Choosing a grass that can withstand use and abuse is your best bet to keep everyone happy and sound.
