Roof top installations of artificial grass can be complicated. I will strongly suggest you to contact us by phone, email or this online form (https://www.globalsynturf.com/free-quote ) with the answers to the following questions so that our experts can help you further on your project:

-Is the roof pitched for drainage and are there exposed drain grates?

-What is on the roof now? rubber membrane? stone tile? Need to know if you can glue to roof top or now. Glue could chemically damage the roof if products don't jive.

- Drain tile might needed so there is a gap for water to exit and air to flow.

- Access to roof: need a crane?

The process of installing artificial grass for a playground is pretty much the same as regular artificial grass lawn expect that all of the public playground projects require cushioning pads under the grass. Many residential playground applications don’t have lawn pads under the grass as no special rules or regulations apply, however, all public playgrounds will require the lawn pads to achieve fall ratings for public safety. Let’s look at this in two parts:

1. For general artificial grass installations which will also apply to playground, please check out this link for details:

https://www.globalsynturf.com/installation-guides

2. To install the lawn pads under the artificial grass for a playground application, you won’t need any other special tools, but you will need to take consideration of the thickness of the pads while you are building your sub base. The following is a general reference:

1-1/4” pad can take a 5’ fall.

2-1/4” pad can take a 8’ fall.

If higher fall ratings needed, you will need to stack the pads together to achieve that. Please feel free to contact us by phone, email or this online form if you have any further questions: https://www.globalsynturf.com/free-quote

For indoor artificial grass applications, I always want to recommend products with shorter blades. The most commonly used indoor artificial grass are Trainers Turf, Pet Turf and SBlade-50 from our product lineup. Shorter blade artificial grasses are more like high pile indoor carpets, and people can treat them the same as far as cleaning and maintenance concerns.

It depends on what type of surface you have indoors for the artificial grass, installation methods might be different, please provide more detailed information on the size of your application along with the current surface type (concrete or wood or ?) by phone, email or this online form, so we can provide further consultations on your requires: https://www.globalsynturf.com/free-quote

Typically you can treat your indoor artificial grass as carpet, the only thing you won’t do is to steam clean it as you would on real carpets. If your artificial grass is with short blades which are common for indoor applications, you can simply vacuum it by setting your vacuum cleaner at high carpet settings. You will need to be a bit careful on the real high fiber artificial grass when it comes to cleaning: you need to test a bit to see if your vacuum can handle real tall fibers before you vacuum it, if not, you can use semi-dry mop to clean the grass. Please feel free to reach us by phone, email or this online form should you have any further questions, thank you: https://www.globalsynturf.com/free-quote

There is really none of hidden cost for artificial grass as far as I can think of. It is very straightforward for artificial grass cost: everyone is selling artificial grass by price per square foot. To go with the artificial grass, you will need some tools and accessories required for installations such as nails, infills, tape measures, carpet/utility knives, seaming tape/glue and etc.. When installing artificial grass outdoors, sub base needs to be built which will need to excavate some soil, filled with drain rocks and decomposed granite which are bulk landscape materials with relatively low price tags. As the top artificial grass manufacturer, we offer not only the turf products, but also accessories to go with the installations, however, we don’t carry any bulk landscape materials for your sub base.

We offer free consultations on products and installations, so please let us know if you have any other questions by phone, email or this online form: https://www.globalsynturf.com/free-quote

Unfortunately we don’t offer any accessories for leave removals on artificial grass. It is basically the same to remove leaves from your artificial grass surface as from real grass lawns. By that said, if using a broom is not a good option for you, you can always get a leaf blower: either a battery operated one or a powerful gas powered that most landscapers use. I personally suggest you to use the electric one as it will not generate any air pollutions and tends to be much quieter.

Global Syn-Turf is the company to pioneer engineered blades technology on the market! As you can see that we name our majority of products with the blade names. Ever since we introduced engineered blades, we have enjoyed a huge success with these revolutionary products, then like everything else, people started to copy and there are counterfeits on the market, but nothing is comparable to the real solid originals. What is engineered blade? We make the yarns in different shapes instead of simple flat and here are some key benefits of engineered blades:

1. They are more resilient, durable than flat fibers so your artificial grass lifespan get prolonged.

2. Engineered blades stands up better and less likely to be matted down easily. Even it gets matted down eventually, but much more longer before flat fibers do.

3. Shinny plastic looking has been a problem for artificial grass from day one of its birth, engineered blades reflecting light from different angles to make the overall appearance much more realistic.

You can find all our product lineups from this link and you will notice that all of our products come in with engineered blades, simply the best you can find on the market: https://www.globalsynturf.com/catalog/landscape-lawns

Technically, you can place almost anything heavy on artificial grass, normal pressures from heavy objects won’t hurt your turf while they are sitting still. Just to be aware that after a while with heavy objects on the turf surface, grass fibers will be pressed down and hard to get them up which is very normal and will happen to anything with heavy pressures on. If you are living in an extremely hot area, you will need to be careful about metal or any other high heat transferring items on your turf regardless heavy or light. I have experienced issues with metal getting scorching hot (over 200 degree F) that melted the artificial grass fibers.

If you are not sure about anything related to artificial grass, please feel free to contact us via phone, email or this online form, and we can offer further free professional help: https://www.globalsynturf.com/free-quote

The short answer is yes. Placing heavy objects on artificial grass is like placing heavy furniture on carpet, the weight of the objects won't hurt the artificial turf at all. You just need to realize that after a while, the turf will be flattened by the heavy weight. Also if you leave your objects on for years, you will see the visual difference between the covered area and the rest of your turf: the area with the objects sitting on will look much newer and fresher than the uncovered areas, again, this is very similar to the carpet. We have people putting outdoor furniture along with playground fixtures on the artificial grass surface all the time, never present any issues or problems.
