I see a lot of positive comments regarding artificial grass, but wonder if there are any disadvantages, nothing is perfect.

Well, like any type of product, there are pros and cons for artificial grass. A lot of postings on our website have discussed the benefits of artificial grass: Artificial grass indeed has a lot of benefits, more pros than cons, however, in my personal opinion, I see only three disadvantages as the following:

1. Pricing is high: compare with regular natural grass, the cost of artificial grass is much higher. Even though the maintenance and water cost can offset the pricing difference and provide significant savings in a long run, but the initial upfront investment can be much higher than natural grass.

2. Artificial grass can get hot in very warm weather. Even though our technologies have dramatically improved grass fiber's features to minimize the heat retaining, we still would recommend using infill materials to help to keep artificial grass cool. The best infill product we have experienced with is T-Cool, here is the link for more details: https://www.globalsynturf.com/tcool-infill

3. You can't regrow artificial grass like natural grass. So if anything happens to the artificial grass on a section of the entire installation, you will need to cut out the bad part and patch it. Almost exactly like carpet, we always recommend people to keep some leftovers from the original installation as artificial turf is manufactured by dye-lots (or batches), like carpet, different dye-lots can have slightly varied and can be noticeable.

Yeah, the upfront cost for artificial grass is much more than real grass.
I think the cost is still too high for artificial grass.
Seems very honest opinion on this answer!
Well said.
