Which is better real grass or artificial?

From water saving, maintenance and environment perspectives, artificial grass definitely is better. Real grass sounds good for being natural and people tend to think natural grass is good for environment, but reality is not: the emissions generated from lawn mowers and chemicals used to maintain real grass not only pollute our air but also contaminate our soil even though the real grass itself can be unharmful. 

If I have to think a point of real grass being better, it might be the price. The cost of real grass is significantly lower than artificial grass. However, there are two ways to look at this: if we just pay attention to the upfront cost, the real grass is a lot of cheaper than artificial turf, however, it is not necessarily true in the long run: the fact is that even the artificial grass cost more upfront, but it will save more money after a few years given the fact of savings on water bills and maintenance cost.
