Will weeds and other roots grow from under the turf?

Once the artificial grass is installed, is it possible for weeds and other unwanted plants to grow from under the turf and push it up? How would I prevent this if it did?

From time to time, you can see weeds grow from the edges of your artificial grass or even through the drainage holes. Weeds are very stubborn and can grow anywhere possible. To avoid weeds growing through your artificial grass, I will recommend you to use the weed barrier on top of the sub base, under your artificial turf. If you have your artificial grass installed and didn’t use any weed barrier, to get rid of the weeds can get very easy: first of all, you won’t have much of weeds grow through artificial grass at all, the weeds will be very spotty, you can simply pull them out or use weed killers like roundups, but when using the weed killers, you need to be careful and I always recommend you to wear gloves and masks to protect yourself or use organic (non-chemical) weed killers.
