No, artificial grass won’t soap up water or any other liquid. Artificial turf is made of polyethylene and polyethylene, neither the fibers or backings are not porous, therefore, no water or moisture or smell will be penetrated inside the product itself. Our artificial grass product is designed with excellent drainage system, water will simply dissipate easily, even there might be water or moistures on the artificial turf, they won’t necessarily soak up the turf at all.

One of the best features of artificial grass is superb drainage. You will never have to worry about ending up with bothersome pools.
Artificial grass has very reliable drainage. I've seen some people installed synthetic grass on areas prone to flooding and they all seem satisfied with them
I agree. Our artificial turf does not soak up in water given the fact that we live in a rainy city.
No! They are even best suited for those exposed to extreme weather as they effectively wicks away the water.

I am not sure about the question as there shouldn’t be anything good for bad for wildfire, artificial grass is definitely not flammable, and will not catch on fire. There was a big wildfire in Malibu, California couple of years ago and the only thing didn’t catch fire on a property was the artificial grass lawn, just because of that, multiple homeowners have chosen artificial turf for their landscape lanes when they rebuild their houses. Hopeful such story can help you with your concerns.

I agree. Artificial turf is eco-friendly, thus, it's not bad for wildlife.
No. Most artificial grass in the market is non-toxic and environmental friendly.
It's not. You don't ever need to use chemicals for your artificial grass so it does not and will not hurt the environment or your pets.
I don't see it being bad because I doubt this will even be installed in forests
Wow! That's good to know.

It depends on what kind of surface you are planing to install the artificial grass. Regardless the surface, if you are putting more than two pieces of turf together, you will always need the glues for seams. You definitely have to build a good sub base and smooth compacted if your turf will go on soil ground. You will need to glue down the turf if you are permanently installing it on a solid surface such as concrete. Our artificial grass glues come in three different type of packages: 32 oz tube, 1 gallon bucket and 5 gallon bucket. If your installation area is small and all you need is tube, you will need a large glue discharge gun; if you go with the bucket glues, a 1/4” trowel will be needed to apply the glues. Glue will help you achieve the smooth surface. No wavy grass.
I didn't know that you can actually use glue but great to know that GST has that covered. Thank you!

Technically you can use artificial grass for kitty litter, the product won't hurt and not harmful, but I doubt it will work well for your cat. It is very natural for dogs to do their business on grassy surface, it might not true for cats, I personally think the traditional kitty litter will work better, this is just my own opinion.

I use a wood pellet litter for my cat. It would work better than using your turf
I personally use sand for my cats.
My cat do her business on gravels.

I personally don't know if anyone has used artificial grass for chicken nesting boxes, but technically you can use it. Our artificial grass is designed and manufactured with harm to human and animals and is safe for applications around animals.

I could only imagine how it'd look like!
I saw one did this before when we visited a farm.

Absolutely! If you have a small piece being placed in the middle of your patio, you would like to secure the edges by using double sided carpet tapes.

I put it on my small patio, they look awesome!
We put it on the balcony and kids love it
They'll look amazing!

It might if you leave the piece completely loose on the concrete. We always recommend to somehow secure the grass into the solid surfaces regardless a permanent or temporary applications before any usages. For permanent installations of turf onto concrete surface, you will need to use turf flies and 1/4” trowel and you need to make sure all edges have full contact with both glue and turf and concrete. For temporary installation, we recommend you to use strong double sided carpet tapes or Velcro along the edges to avoid any tripping hazards.

Nails also work
Yeah, I used glue too and it stick on my floor do good.
I used Turf glue! it is amazing!

Installing artificial grass for high traffic area, you always need to be aware that turf will lay down due to the high traffics: most of our products are with engineered blades which provides excellent resiliency and stands up well under normal use, but given excessive traffics, all fibers will eventually lay down. Artificial grass fibers laying down is not necessarily a bad thing or a problem, it is very normal and people need to have a proper expectation for that. If you pay attentions to most sport fields, especially the ones being used on a consistent base, grass fibers will always being down, this is absolutely normal. In short, you can definitely use artificial grass for high traffic area, but you need to have proper expectations of grass fibers being down instead of standing up straight at and after traffic.

I read that high traffic would eventually tear your fake turf
I accept the fact that high traffic may flatten your artificial grass, like real grass.

Technically yes. In this case, you can treat the artificial grass the same as real grass. Reality is that you either blow off or broom off the snows from artificial grass rather than using rock salt unless you have to. The rock salt itself won't damage the artificial grass.

I saw this information in an article that the pH content of the salt could end up damaging the yarns.
thanks for sharing!
This is good. That gives me a go signal to buy artificial grass. :)

Sure you can if you don't mind getting wet by the rain! The artificial grass will drain out the water as rains hit on the surface, but there still will be water residues on the blades, and the turf surface will be wet. When it is wet, the artificial grass surface will be a bit more slippery so you need to be carefully playing on it. Even though you might get wet playing in the rain on artificial turf, but you will be relatively clean. Why? Because there won't be mud all over you! Can you imagine playing in the rain on a real grass field? Not only you will get soaking wet, you will be covered with mud all over!

My kids certainly enjoy playing on it!
This sounds fantastic. Your kids would love it.
I just hope it's not slippery.
Yes, I see myself and my kids playing on it during rainy season. Must be really fun!
They will surely enjoy playing on it!
