The short answer is yes. However, people need to keep in mind that when the air temperature is at 100 degrees, the surfaces (any materials) can be much hotter. As far as the leaves on the artificial grass, it is the same as leaves on the real grass lawn. So most of the time, you will need either rake or blow the leaves off the artificial grass surface, unfortunately the wind won’t do the job. This is a tough question, as we are very familiar with HOAs rules in state of California, but not necessarily all other HOAs throughout the the country. Most of HOAs are very strict with the front appearance of the houses in the community, and can be easy with backyards: so it will be a good idea for you to find out more detailed information and requirements from your HOA, and you can always feel free to send us those requirements at info!globalsynturf.com and we will be very happy to help you to provide necessary information and answer any questions from HOA. Our artificial grass can withstand weathers well: cold weather or snow will make turf harder/stiffer and can be slippery, but won’t hurt the grass itself. Heavy rains will help to clean the turf surface and present no harm to the turf either. Extreme hot weather can heat up the turf surface but typically won’t damage the turf unless the temperature goes up to more than 200 F degrees. We recommend to be very cautious to use turf in extreme weather conditions, or to avoid usage in such conditions: this is just like using roads in icy or snowy condition, surface itself is ok but cautions required when driving or waking on it. And it is very rare that people will engage activities on any outdoor surfaces during extreme weather anyway and we haven’t experienced any complaints regarding our artificial grass in extreme weather conditions.
