I installed artificial turf in my yard and used GST's Galvanized Spikes to secure it. The spikes are strong, rust-resistant, and easy to install. They hold the turf securely in place, even with heavy foot traffic and rain. The spikes haven’t shifted at all, and my yard still looks perfect. These spikes are a must-have for any artificial grass installation.
There are two type of nails used for artificial grass installations: regular steel nail (installation nails) or galvanized nails, and both nails are recommended by us even though there are some pros and cons for each. I had a previous posting to explain the differences of nails and nail sizes, please check it out at: https://www.globalsynturf.com/should-i-use-4-inch-or-6-inch-nails-for-installation. This is a tough question, as we are very familiar with HOAs rules in state of California, but not necessarily all other HOAs throughout the the country. Most of HOAs are very strict with the front appearance of the houses in the community, and can be easy with backyards: so it will be a good idea for you to find out more detailed information and requirements from your HOA, and you can always feel free to send us those requirements at info!globalsynturf.com and we will be very happy to help you to provide necessary information and answer any questions from HOA. In cases that we have our service team in your area, we can even visit your HOA at their meetings to present our company and products.

If you are installing the artificial grass permanently on your patio, the best way to go is gluing it down. The drawback is that glues will leave residues and marks on your patio concrete when you remove the turf. If you are not looking for a permanent installation, I will recommend you to use heavy duty double sided carpet tape: the tape might work out ok if you have a small area, but again, I am not sure about how long these tapes will last. Absolutely! The key to keeping your artificial turf in top condition is regular brushing, at least once a month, to keep the blades upright. Also, don't forget to rinse it off now and then to remove dust and pollen. If you have pets, a quick rinse more frequently can help neutralize odors. Simple and easy maintenance can go a long way! Enjoy your beautiful green space!
