GST’s Galvanized Spikes are a must for any turf installation. They’re strong, rust-resistant, and hold the turf firmly in place, even in high-traffic areas. I used them for my backyard installation, and they’ve kept everything securely in place, no matter the weather. These spikes made the installation process quick and easy, and I highly recommend them for any project.
If you are installing the artificial grass permanently on your patio, the best way to go is gluing it down. The drawback is that glues will leave residues and marks on your patio concrete when you remove the turf. If you are not looking for a permanent installation, I will recommend you to use heavy duty double sided carpet tape: the tape might work out ok if you have a small area, but again, I am not sure about how long these tapes will last. There are two type of nails used for artificial grass installations: regular steel nail (installation nails) or galvanized nails, and both nails are recommended by us even though there are some pros and cons for each. I had a previous posting to explain the differences of nails and nail sizes, please check it out at: https://www.globalsynturf.com/should-i-use-4-inch-or-6-inch-nails-for-installation. Our artificial grass can withstand weathers well: cold weather or snow will make turf harder/stiffer and can be slippery, but won’t hurt the grass itself. Heavy rains will help to clean the turf surface and present no harm to the turf either. Extreme hot weather can heat up the turf surface but typically won’t damage the turf unless the temperature goes up to more than 200 F degrees. We recommend to be very cautious to use turf in extreme weather conditions, or to avoid usage in such conditions: this is just like using roads in icy or snowy condition, surface itself is ok but cautions required when driving or waking on it. And it is very rare that people will engage activities on any outdoor surfaces during extreme weather anyway and we haven’t experienced any complaints regarding our artificial grass in extreme weather conditions. If you are referring to a permanent installation, you will need to secure your artificial grass down with nails along the perimeters, such nails can be found on our website, here is the link: https://www.globalsynturf.com/hardware

Our artificial grass products hold up really well in cold weather. Since turf products are made of plastic components, it will react to temperature changes like any other plastic products. When it gets warm, the grass blades will be more relaxed and softer, when it gets cold, the blades will get more stiff and harder. However such changes are considered normal, and no need to worry about it. In a cold condition, artificial grass will get stiff and hard, with snow covering or frosts, the surface can get slippery and you need to be cautioned for fall hazards in such conditions. Again, you won't need to worry about the product's integrity and quality in such conditions. We offer free consultation on any questions or concerns you might have, please feel free to reach us via phone, email or this online form: https://www.globalsynturf.com/free-quote

On the contrary, artificial grass is much easier to maintain if at all in bad weather conditions if I understand your question correctly. Artificial turf requires very minimal maintenance in any weather conditions in term of dry or wet, it is obvious that the turf won’t need water for dry weather areas either need to keep up with the mowing in wet areas.
