I’ve had this for almost 4 months now, and it’s been outside the entire time in the sun and rain. It’s been great! It looks nice and provides a soft spot for my baby to play on instead of the hard concrete. No weird smell, no bugs-it's been perfect.
If I understand you fully, I assume you are considering to put a loose piece of artificial grass on top of paver stones? You absolutely can. Here are my recommendations: you won't want to have a too small of piece as it might have tripping hazards along the edges if the kids playing on and off the turf, you will need a big enough piece for the play area so kids can stay within the turf without running on and off the turf. As we all know how active kids can be, a simple solution to attach a piece of turf onto a solid surface such as pavers is to use velcro along the edges of the turf or double sided tape to prevent any tripping hazards.

The short answer is yes. However, people need to keep in mind that when the air temperature is at 100 degrees, the surfaces (any materials) can be much hotter. I have had a previous posting talking about turf melting points, please see this link for details: https://www.globalsynturf.com/at-what-temperature-does-your-artificial-grass-melt. You should never have the muddy problem any more if you install artificial grass properly. One of the key benefits of having artificial grass is that it is clean and not become messy or muddy, you can get on the artificial grass immediately after rain as there won't be muddy or messy as soil or real grass will get.
