Yes, you can use our SuperNatural artificial grass for sports. Softness is not equal to durability: soft artificial grass won't be less durable according to our tests, however softer blades will lay down faster than stiff blades. When using SuperNatural product for sport applications, I will always recommend to use SuperNatural-60 which is less dense and easier to put infills in them. When it comes to use lawn pads for artificial grass, the thickness of the lawn pads matters the most. In general, the main purposes for lawn pads are for cushions and fall ratings. Al lost all public facilities such are playgrounds and etc., there will be certain fall ratings requirements, from 5’ to 20’ which means kids won’t be hurt when falling onto the surface from such height. The lawn pads with thickness of between 3/4” and 2-1/4” will satisfy such requirements with single layer or stacked layers. For just cushioning purpose, any thickness of lawn pad will serve the purpose well, the general rule is the thicker the lawn pad, the more of cushions. By all said above, it is almost irrelevant for what kind of artificial grass you will choose, it is more of what thickness of the pads you will select to make the difference. All our products meet ASTM F 1951 standard. Since this standard normally based on particular projects, we don’t have the test certificate for all of our projects.
