Technically the answer is yes! This is the law of physics: the thicker (heavier) the material, the more durable. However we offer 15 year limited warranty on all our our products and even lower weight artificial grass offered by us can be just as durable and long lasting. The heavier turf will go well beyond the 15 years mark under normal weather and wear/tear up to 25 years, and lighter materials will be couple of years shy. We are the artificial grass manufacturer and not sure if and how crumb rubber infills is safe or harmful to be honest. We don't recommend to use crumb rubber infills unless independent testings been done to prove no harm.
