Are animals such as rabbits, gophers, and squirrels problems for turf owners? Will these animals ruin the turf or dig it up? How would I prevent that from happening?

Artificial grass doesn’t provide any good conditions for the pests or snails to live within, therefore, you shouldn’t concern about such animals or pests will present any problems. Compared with real grass lawns, artificial grass is much “cleaner”! We have never had any complaints about such issues before.

Will artificial grass reduce pests like bugs and small animals?

Absolutely! The artificial grass is made of PE and PP, forms of plastic, therefore, the fibers are not porous, and smoother than real grass. Such materials will not provide any bases for pests or small animals to breed or grow compared to soil and natural grass. Most of the artificial grass installation requires infills, if you have pests issues in your area, we will recommend you to use antimicrobial infills which will further eliminate any possibilities of pests environment.

Are farm animals compatible with artificial grass?

Our artificial grass products are definitely safe for these farm animals, however, I personally haven’t seen much of farm applications, and don’t have much of insides to offer as pros and cons go. If the numbers of the animals are limited, I can see the benefit of having turf as it will be very easy to rinse cleaning it with minimal maintenances; the concern can be how to prevent these farm animals from trying to chew or eat the turf which can cause issues. I don’t see it can be a good idea to have turf hosting large amount of farm animals given how unpredictable of the animals’ behaviors.

Leaves and debris do not necessarily cause immediate issues, however, given time they can be a problem by themselves even though chances of getting turf damaged are minimum. It is always a good idea to keep the leaves and debris off the artificial grass surfaces: such task can easily be done by using a leave blower.
