Artificial grass does get hot in summer especially directly under the sun. However, such hot days people will seldom get out of the house and be on the grass. In some areas with extreme hot during summer month, we always recommend the following solutions:
1. When pick artificial grass products, try to choose the ones with our Koolmax technology fibers: such products still will get warm but will be less warn than others, on an average, such products will be about 5-7 degrees C cooler.
2. Use TCool infills with your installation which will dramatically reduce the heat on artificial grass. Here are the links of TCool product and you can find a video clip showing how much cooler when TCool products being used on this page as well: https://www.globalsynturf.com/tcool
