Weeds are unlikely to grow through artificial grass when it's installed correctly, as a weed barrier is typically placed underneath the turf during installation. However, in some cases, weeds can appear around the edges or through the drainage holes if there is a buildup of organic material on the surface. To prevent this, ensure that the turf is properly installed with a high-quality weed barrier and that the edges are securely fastened. Regular maintenance, such as removing debris and occasional brushing, can also help prevent weeds from taking root. If any weeds do appear, they can usually be removed easily by hand or with a mild weed killer that is safe for use with artificial turf.

Hi Anson, weeds are very hard to prevent because they can germinate and grow just from a little bit of rain and dirt. However, our grass can be installed along side a weed barrier that can prevent weeds. You can also use any type of weed killer and it will not damage your turf! If you any more questions about this please give us a call @877-796-8873!

Yes you can! but it's not optimal because the real grass has to be very short. We recommend having professional installation done always and preparing a proper sub base for any turf installation to ensure you have optimal results! If you have any specific questions please give us a call @877-796-8873!

What ppm threshold do you use to make the PFAS-free claim? Have you tested for more than 70 of the 5,000+ PFAS? Do you use a leaching protocol in the testing to reflect weathering?
Why isn't this mentioned in your about us page? I thought this is a very good thing!

Weeds can sometimes find their way to grow through the drainage holes or along the edges where turf meets driveway or pavements. You can definitely use weed/grass killer to get rid of them without damaging the turf, try to spray weed killer to the affected area only though. Please feel free to let us know if you have any further questions, thank you.

At the early stage of turf industry, the sport turf has always the mainstream products and lawn turf being a byproduct of sport turf, other than that, there were not much of differences on the products themselves. Recent years, both sport turf and lawn turf have grown dramatically and the differences of the two products becoming a bit more: lawn turf group now have many different shapes and varieties focusing on appearance and natural  results yet with long lifespan; sports turf in general is more of function focused and resistance of wear and tear is very critical, also with less varieties compared to lawn turf. For any specific questions or you have a particular project, we can be better assist you if you can let us know the details by calling us at 877 796 8873 or email us at [email protected], thank you.

Generally speaking, you can combine the two different infills: Tcool and Zeofill at about even amount, some people do so once a while on their artificial grass installations. However, you need to be aware that when you combine the infills, we won’t be able to reach the max results of getting turf cooled or pet odor reductions, both Tcool and Zeofill will function but not near to their capacities, unfortunately I don’t have any effectiveness percentage numbers. In your case, I will always recommend to use Tcool as the infill and deal with the pet smells differently if it even become a problem for you. By using Tcool as your main infill, you can be sure that your turf won’t get hot during warm days, and you can always use our pet odor neutralizer to spray down the pet smells when needed: https://megagrass.com/products/pet-odor-neutralizer. Different blade shapes have couple of common purposes: resiliency and less shinny. We have several postings to discuss in details how the blades shapes help with the durability and resiliency of the grass and reflects the lights at angels so the grass won’t look as shinny. Other than the general purposes, some artificial grass profiles can have other affects such as softness to the touch and cooling functions. We have so many different turf with different blade shapes and we name them with the blade type as we are the pioneers for these products. For any other questions or further clarifications, please feel free to call us at 877 796 8873 or email us at [email protected], thank you.
