Bender Board Provides a Professional Edge for Lawns

Irwin California
Jesse

I used GST's Bender Board to create clean, defined edges around my lawn and garden beds, and the result is fantastic. The board is easy to install and flexible enough to create curves. It’s durable and has stayed in place without warping or shifting. My yard looks much more polished and professional now. This product is a great addition for any landscaping project.

Are stakes optional if I'm getting the bender board?

When it comes to artificial grass installations, to finish up the edges, bender boards are always recommended along with the stakes: the typical length of the bender board is about 20’, stakes are used to secure the board at every 4-6” to ensure the installation to be solid and lasting. Therefore, you won’t consider the stakes as optional, they are required. What is the exact roll width after trimming off the manufacture's edge

The exact width is 15’-2” without manufacturer’s flaps. In most applications, installers to cut off first couple of stitch lines especially for seaming purpose. Most our turf’s gauge is 3/8” (the distance between stitch lines), so even cutting off couple of stitch lines, you will lose just about 1” or so. Can Round Up be used to kill weeds at outer edge of Synthetic Grass?

Yes, you can! It is very common that weeds grow at the outer edge of synthetic grass, the interesting fact is that many people leave those small weeds alone, as such weeds make the entire artificial lawn look more realistic!

How many bender stakes do I need for 15x16 S blade 50?

It will depend on the length of edges of your artificial grass installation. If you have all the sides exposed that need to use bender boards to finish off and your area is a perfect 15’x16’, you will have 62’ of bender boards, and typically you will need a stake every 4-6’, so 10 to 12 pieces will be sufficient for your project. If your project is not what I have assumed, please let us know the details by calling us (877 796 8873) or emailing us ([email protected]), thank you.

What is the difference between nails and glue for installation?

The usage of nails and glues are different for artificial grass installations, you will need both to get the proper job done, not necessarily one is better than the other. In general, you will need to nails to secure the perimeters of your artificial turf, and also to be used along with seaming tape and glue to secure the joints of two pieces together. The turf glues are mainly used to bond the artificial grass seams together.
