It is difficult to tell without seeing the process and results of the installation. Turf installers might use different installation materials that available locally and alternate the process from our recommendations while still achieving the goals such as proper drainage. Infills are recommended for the purpose of helping to hold down the turf and minimize contractions and expansions. Your installer is correct that most of our turf are thick and fluffy enough to stand up well, though. Sometimes people skip using infills because of budget or for small areas. Our Cashmere and Supernatural series are almost totally different type of artificial grass. They are very different from almost every specification, in general, Cashmere is a softer product, but Supernatural is more realistic. In my personal experiences, once both products installed and in a normal warn weather day, you will feel very similar softness.
