Living in Texas, we needed something that wouldn't burn our feet. U Blade-60 has been awesome - it stays cooler than other options we looked at and has a really natural color. Easy to clean, and still looks brand new after months of heavy use. Good Stuff!
This is a very good question. Artificial grass can get hot in hot climates, that is a fact. Our engineers have been working very hard to develop products that can stay as cool as possible during a hot day, we have an unique technology named as "KoolMax" to bring the temperatures of turf down during a normal warm day. However, in order to prevent artificial grass from heating up in an extremely hot climate, I will suggest you to use an excellent infill product to go with your artificial grass, it is called TCool! Using this infill product with your turf, specially given some moisture, your artificial grass can be cooler by 30-50 F degrees in a hot day! Read Answer: How does your artificial grass stay cool in extremely hot climates?
Well, this is a very tough question to answer. Extreme climates such as extreme hot weather can damage the artificial grass. Give the fact of artificial turf is made of plastic components, extreme hot will ultimately get turf melted. But artificial turf can withstand pretty well in colder climates only that the fibers will get a bit stiffer in the cold environment. I remember seeing a picture of trash can got melted by the heat in Arizona, think about the fact of artificial grass fiber compare to a heavy duty trash can, if the trash bin can be melted, the chances of the turf getting melted also can be true. Just a reminder, our warranty doesn't cover any melting damages on the turf.

Both our SBlade and Cool Blue series are excellent artificial grass, you can’t go wrong with either of them. They are a bit different in color, and most important difference is that the fibers are engineered totally different and backing colors are also different:

Our artificial grass is designed and made with technologies to keep the turf cool as much as possible in a hot day. However, being plastic material, we can only go so far: We engineer our turf fibers with ingredients help keep the heat out and also reflect lights at multi directions. Even though we can achieve 5-10 degrees cooler in general, but in a 100 degree day, that won’t make much of different when you feel the grass. In addition to our cooling designs, we also would recommend to use specific infills to help cool down the turf, it is called TCool! Once infilled your artificial grass with TCool, on average, you will see a temperature drop between 30 and 50 percent! That is huge difference for people to be felt. Both S Balde and W Blade artificial grass are made with engineered fibers, and Global Syn-Turf is the pioneer of these engineered blade with the products named after them. If you take a closer look at the cross section of the fibers, you will see the clear S and W profiles. As finished products, they both share the following common advantages vs traditional flat fibers:
