This is a good question, yes, you will need to cut off some of the roots if they are protruding over the ground level and any potential roots that might grow up before building up your sub base for the artificial grass installation. The best way to approach this is to consult with your landscaper or tree care person who can offer you good advices or services to get it done without hurting the tree and ensure no future roots growth. In some cases, the roots next to the tree trunk can not be cut, when you are installing the turf, you might want to create a circled area around the tree base finishing off with edging materials such as bender board instead of having the turf all the way up to the tree. Even though we still have the same product meaning we haven’t done any changes to that particular product, there is no chance that we will have the same dyelot (production batch) available now.
