Benderboard Stakes were exactly what I needed to complete my turf installation. They’re easy to drive into the ground and keep the edges of the turf securely in place. The stakes are durable, and I haven’t noticed any shifting or movement since installing them. The finished lawn looks clean and professional, and I’m thrilled with the results. These stakes are a must-have for any turf project.
Yes, the bender board used for artificial grass installation can be cut by using a hand saw or a power saw. The bender board is a dense composite material, so a saw with medium or large teeth will work out better. It will depend on the length of edges of your artificial grass installation. If you have all the sides exposed that need to use bender boards to finish off and your area is a perfect 15’x16’, you will have 62’ of bender boards, and typically you will need a stake every 4-6’, so 10 to 12 pieces will be sufficient for your project. If your project is not what I have assumed, please let us know the details by calling us (877 796 8873) or emailing us ([email protected]), thank you.
When it comes to artificial grass installations, to finish up the edges, bender boards are always recommended along with the stakes: the typical length of the bender board is about 20’, stakes are used to secure the board at every 4-6” to ensure the installation to be solid and lasting. Therefore, you won’t consider the stakes as optional, they are required. The usage of nails and glues are different for artificial grass installations, you will need both to get the proper job done, not necessarily one is better than the other. In general, you will need to nails to secure the perimeters of your artificial turf, and also to be used along with seaming tape and glue to secure the joints of two pieces together. The turf glues are mainly used to bond the artificial grass seams together.
