This is a very good question. Artificial grass can get hot in hot climates, that is a fact. Our engineers have been working very hard to develop products that can stay as cool as possible during a hot day, we have an unique technology named as "KoolMax" to bring the temperatures of turf down during a normal warm day. However, in order to prevent artificial grass from heating up in an extremely hot climate, I will suggest you to use an excellent infill product to go with your artificial grass, it is called TCool! Yes, it is quite common that people to mix different type of infills when it comes to artificial grass installations. However, the end results of each different type of infills won’t be at their best, in your case, the turf will be cooling down but won’t be as much once Tcool is mixed with Zeolite, at the same time, zeolite will neutralize the dog smell but won’t be as efficient. So we typically won’t recommend the mixing of infills, rather to suggest to use the infills to address the most critical concerns.
