Pet Turf for my backyard

Corona California
Cheryl Leclair

A friend of mine referred me this company named Global Syn Turf and I found a turf on their website trainers turf I liked.  My two little boys are getting into soccer and I wanted artificial turf for my backyard where my boys could kick the soccer ball around.  The Trainer Turf is short like a soccer turf thefore that is the turf I installed in my backyard.  Once again,  thanks to Global Syn Turf and their dealer in Corona for my new backyard.

How do I know if my Turf was installed correctly in my backyard?

It is difficult to tell without seeing the process and results of the installation. Turf installers might use different installation materials that available locally and alternate the process from our recommendations while still achieving the goals such as proper drainage. Infills are recommended for the purpose of helping to hold down the turf and minimize contractions and expansions. Your installer is correct that most of our turf are thick and fluffy enough to stand up well, though. Sometimes people skip using infills because of budget or for small areas. In any case, uneven surface seems more like an installation issue. For any further questions, please feel free to call us at 877 796 8873 or email us at [email protected], thank you.

Would you recommend the Riviera or S blade series for a backyard?

There are really not much of major differences between these two series other than the profile of the fiber and the color. Functions and performances for both artificial grass series are very similar, so if it is up to me to make a choice for my back yard, I will go with the color I like better: Riviera Monterey series’s color is a bit lighter and vibrant; the SBlade series’s color is a bit darker and more mature. When choosing an artificial grass product, another tip I can offer is to find a color similar to the natural grass in your area so make your turf blend in much better with even the natural grass in your neighborhood. I have a backyard packed with sand. Can your fake turf cover it?

Well, we won't recommend to install your turf on a sandy surface. The sands are just too loose to serve as a base for artificial grass. The turf installation requires solid yet smooth surfaces, sands won't provide that. If you install artificial turf over sand, and with some usage and traffic on it, the sand underneath will start moving which will cause noticeable lumps and dents on the grass surface: This is not only give the artificial grass a terrible looking, but also can cause concerns of tripping hazard.
