Global Syn-Turf sets the standard of the artificial grass industry with all products at greatest quality in general. Among our artificial grass products, the higher weight with complex fiber combinations, higher yarn drex and unique technologies are considered as the most high end products. To name a few:

Well, this is a difficult question. All artificial grass will eventually flattened given heavy and consistent traffic, especially there’s no “breaks” between the traffics in which situation, there is no chance given for the turf to spring back up. I will recommend short diamond shaped blade turf for such applications: diamond shaped turf are typically softer and easier to lay down, but at least it will be more consistent in when they stand up or lay out in a uniformed fashion. Some of the other more stiff blades designs have much better resiliencies which handles heavy traffic well when there are breaks between traffics which allow the turf to spring back up especially such breaks given in a warm weather. Most of our artificial grass can handle normal “heavy traffics” very well, and they all have good resiliences to tend to stand back up. We assume most of the applications will be “normal”, only in rare situations, heavy consistent traffics will flatten the turf down fast and hard to brush them back up: this is very similar as placing something heavy on a carpet, a pressing mark will present, consistent heavy traffic without stop will make it difficult for the turf to keep standing up regardless which type you choose. Again, in such cases, short and softer products will be my recommendation. The stitch count for artificial grass is a combination of tufting gauges and stitch rates, it is often referred the total stitches per square meter or square yard. In order to claim a "high stitch count", the artificial grass needs to have very tight tufting gauge and high stitch rates. The tufting gauge is the distance between two tufting lines, which ranges from 3/16" to 3/4", the narrower the gauge, the tighter of the grass; the stitch rates is the amount of turf stitches per 4" or 10 mm.

Artificial putting greens need to have the following capacities and functionalities to be considered as high quality:

It is very hard to tell the quality of the backing of artificial grass by just visualizing or feeling it. Typically there are two parts of backing for most of the turf products on the market today: primary backing and secondary backing. The primary backing is the Polypropylene fabric that turf fibers to be tufted onto; the secondary backing is the glue to hold the fibers in place. The only one determination people can make by just looking at the turf is how many layers of the primary backing the artificial grass has, for an example all our products have two layers of primary backing which represent higher quality compared with some single layer backing products by other companies. It is almost impossible to tell any differences on other aspects of a turf backing system without technical testing such as tuft bind, grab, thickness of polypropylene fabrics and etc., you can find all these technical testing information on our website at this link: https://www.globalsynturf.com/artificial-grass-specifications-specs. If on an average you spend more than 2 hours daily on the artificial grass, we consider it as high traffic. Artificial lawns, like real grass lawns, are not walked on as frequent or long as you would think, especially for residential applications. Front yard in particular gets much less traffic, back yards and pet areas will have much more usage. Again, my analysis are good for most cases, however, if your project is any different, please feel free to give us call at 877 796 8873 or email us at [email protected], thank you.
