Which infill is safest for children?

All the infills on today’s market is relatively safe to use for artificial grass installation. The infills are meant to provide extra weight and hold the turf down better and help the blades to stand up. In most cases, if the infills are applied properly, it will sink all the way to the very bottom of the turf, you will not be able to see or get contact with it unless you spread open the fibers and put your fingers into the turf. However, to be 100% safe, we will recommend the wonderfill product which is sands coated with antimicrobial agent to prevent bacteria and germs and is extremely safe for your kids. Is a putting green just a trimmed version of regular turf?

No, the artificial grass and artificial putting green are totally different types of products: regular artificial grass has both straight fibers and the curled thatching in it which make it a replica of real grass lawn; artificial putting green is very similar to the real greens, which is made of one type of textured/curled fiber. To better tell the difference between the normal landscape turf and the artificial putting greens, I will recommend you to get some free samples from one of our local distributors near you, please email us at [email protected] with your address so we can get you connected ASAP.

Is it better to glue just the seams during installation?

Yes, as the manufacturer of the artificial grass, we strongly recommend to use glue on all turf seams at the installation. We offer such turf glues from our product lineups with different sizes: 29 oz tube, 1 gallon and 5 gallon buckets. Depends on the size of your application, you can choose different sizes. For permanent artificial grass installation on a hard and smooth surface such as concrete, turf glues are also required along with 1/4” notched trout to apply the glue.
