I have been looking for an artificial turf company in Tennessee that was reputable and had installation jobs I could look at to see what their work looked like. I found an artificial turf company online with 10 different locations nationwide. That is more than 3 times as many as any artificial turf companies I found online. When I called this company they were very professional and educated me on artificial turf. They immediately let me know they are a manufacture of artificial turf and they did not sell turf direct or do installations. They referred me a large landscape supply company here in Tennessee that does artificial turf installations and was a certified distributor for Global syn Turf. They sent me a list of addresses where I could drive by and look at artificial turf installations to see the turf installed and the workmanship. All of their work look fantastic and I tended to lean towards the Super Natural 60 turf. This synthetic grass looked amazing and I new that was the artificial turf for me. Now it has been installed for 3 weeks in my backyard and I could not be happier. Thanks to everyone who helped me make this project come true.

I wanted to have artificial turf installed in my yard but didn't know where to start. Like most people I started my research online. Luckily I found Global Syn Turf. I filled out an online inquiry and a man named Greg called me back right away and really educated me on artificial turf. I told him I had two kids and one small dog. He told me the turf was non allergic and was great for kids and pets. He told me the artificial turf had drainage for water and dog pee. He also mention I coud consider leaving my sprinklers in so the turf could be rinsed off. I also mentioned I wanted to put in a swing set. Greg told me they sell 4 different size Playground Pads to put under the turf that allowed for a 7 foot high critical fall height. This company was so educational and informative I knew I found the right company. They told me they were the manufacturer and did not do installations and sell their artificial turf through distributors. They told me who their distributor was here in Dallas and they helped me purchase the turf and install it. I want to thank everyone for their help with my new artificial turf yard.

I live here in the Lone Star State and was considering putting artificial grass in my backyard for my kids and dogs to play on. I am the type of person that does a lot of research on things before I buy them. I need to know how it works, how much it cost, is it safe, etc. etc. The Global Syn Turf website had the most information about the things I was looking for more than any other website on the internet. They had plenty of articles on how to install artificial turf and the Do's and Don'ts of installations. They have calculators that gave me an estimate of how much it will cost for all materials including artificial turf. There is also a calculator that shows you how much you will save and what the payback period is for owing artificial turf. My payback period was 4.5 years, so every year after that I will be saving $1,900 a year by not having a gardener and not watering my grass in the yard. They also have an App on the website that tells me how big my yard is using satellite images to measure my lawn. There is a lot of information on their website that talks about the safety of artificial grass especially when it comes to kids and dogs. They freely post all the specification sheets for the artificial turfs and all the testing for each. Including Prop 65 Lead Tests that shows the turf is lead free. I like a company that shows this and their warranty and have nothing to hide. I want to thank Global Syn Turf and their team for being a stand up company and allowing me to move forward with artificial turf in my yard.

I am from Houston Texas and I have been wanting artificial turf for my backyard so the dogs have a nice area to play on. However, we get a lot of rain and I mean a lot of rain. As a matter of fact it is pouring, lightning and thundering right now and it looks like a river going down the street. I heard artificial grass was good for dogs and wanted to learn more. I found a company called Global Syn Turf online and they really helped me understand the benefits and features of artificial turf as it pertains to dogs and in areas that get lots of rain. I filled out one of the online inquiries for Global Syn Turf and a gentlemen named Dave called me back in a matter of minutes. He and I had a long discussion about artificial turf and how it worked with dogs and excessive rain. First he recommended their Pet Turf. He said it was shorter and worked great with dogs because it was easier to pick up after them. He also said it had three times as many holes in the backing for drainage. This helped with letting the dog urine flow freely down to the natural soils and also helped with the excessive rain we receive here in Texas. He said that 80% of all rain would flow off of the turf and that the other 20% would flow through the turf. As far as cleaning the turf he said the artificial needs to be cleaned on occasion. Dave said the excessive rain was a good thing and that the water would help rinse the turf. However, he did say on occasion I should disinfectant the artificial turf with a pet deodorizer to help mitigate any odors. He mentioned the turf would always be dirt and mud free and would help keep the dog from tracking dirt and mud into the house. I want to thank Dave and Global Syn Turf for their help and tell them our artificial turf in my backyard looks amazing...

In the past decade, the use of "new generation" artificial turf has become quite common throughout the United States. Synthetic grass applications that not related to sport fields are getting really popular in western states such as California, Arizona and Nevada. Such states are areas where outdoor water use is restricted or low maintenance is desired. Common applications include veterinary clinics, animal shelters, golf practice ranges, school yards, residential lawns, and low water use landscapes.
The market of residential lawns has been growing at an average annual rate of thirty five percent even during the economy downturns. As market grows, prices are coming down dramatically which in turn to fuel further market growth! Alvin Balahadia used to work for an artificial grass installation company in San Jose, California, he remembers how the selling of synthetic grass for residential lawn applications fifteen years ago: You walked in a house as a salesman, the first question to the homeowners was: "Do you know the artificial grass is a luxury thing, only the top ten percent of the household can afford it?" This might sound humiliating but true. Fifteen years ago, the turn key price for installing artificial grass in San Francisco Bay Area was between $22.00 and $26.00 per square foot, while today's price range is between $8.00 and $14.00 per square foot. Such price range is still much higher than natural grass. "The normal life expectancy of artificial grass is about 15 years. If you can get your investment back within first five years by saving money on water and maintenance, then you enjoy the beautiful lawn for the next 10 years without any water bills and the hassles of mowing and trimming, will you do it? I know I will." Said Alvin Balahadia :"It is a great investment on your house as houses with synthetic grass lawns are considered with upgraded premium options here in San Francisco Bay Area and other dry states like Arizona and Nevada."
On average, a household in San Francisco Bay Area can save between $600.00 and $1,200.00 annually on water bill along if they get rid of the natural grass lawns.

There are so many artificial grass companies out there claiming they offer pet grass products, which make people believe they have many choices for different quality and styles of artificial dog grass. The reality is they do not. Because 90% of all artificial, synthetic grass or turf is made in or near Dalton, Georgia by carpet manufacturers, the machines that make carpet also make artificial synthetic turf using a "tufting machine." The only difference between artificial turf and carpet is the yarn that is used and the rubber backing. Artificial grass companies that advertise pet turf, dog grass, dog turf, pooch grass, potty grass, and many other names that appeal to dog owners are merely selling an existing grass product that they renamed to appeal to pet owners. Global Syn-Turf's petgrass is a real deal. Their petgrass features unique Flo-Rite-Thru technology with integrated antimicrobials and a proprietary backing that is 100% permeable, GST petgrass drains 50 times faster and requires less water for cleaning.
When referring to Pet's turf, most people tend to focus on the grass products itself too much and ignore the fact and benefit of a Pet's turf system. Obviously the synthetic grass is the center piece of the system, in order to make Pet's grass effective, other components also need to be seriously considered. ZeoFill, a natural mineral powdery particles need to be used as an "infill" to be blend into the Pet's turf, which will act as a neutralizing agent to minimize the smell of urine. A well prepared 3-4" base with compacted crushed rocks and decomposed granite is absolutely required to allow proper drainage. Global Syn-Turf's Synthetic Grass Pet Odor Neutralizer should be used to eliminate any pet's smells. From time to time, pets owners need to broom up the Pet's turf by using such product as Global Syn-Turf's Turf Groom.

Backyard putting greens are fantastic way of bringing together friends and family to enjoy the outdoors. Its kind of like having a pool table. When you have people over, theres always something to do, says Richard Stoltz of New Mexico Synthetic Turf in Albuquerque, NM. I the past, people have been trying to install real grass putting greens in their backyards, turned out that no matter how hard you try, it is just impossible to maintain it! Today, most backyard putting greens are created with artificial turf, mounds, sand pits, and interesting shapes can be easily created and maintained. Artificial turf also has an even surface thats ideal for putting. Synthetic greens are virtually maintenance free. They're able to withstand hot or cold temperatures, as well as wet conditions, and are just about always ready for play.
A backyard putting green has such a great social element to it that youll use it a lot more if its close to patios or other entertaining areas. A flat one-hole putting green gets boring fast. However, if you make it challenging, friends and family will enjoy the putting green for years to come. Using a few undulations, mounds, a sand pit, and about three holes will help to keep it interesting and more playable. With the pressures of school, work, and other activities, oftentimes family members dont get home until after dark. Incorporate low-voltage landscape lighting into backyard putting greens to extend the number of hours each day that people can use it, in a nice mood.

Resort areas and neighborhood parks manufactured from artificial lawn provide accessible, versatile perform surfaces for the youth of skills and all ages. Many public spaces are turning to synthetic turf for attractive water -saving landscape solutions that reduce maintenance and operating expenditures. Applications for artificial lawn that is fun include: playgrounds and parklands, cities, highway medians, airport grounds, closed landfills, golf links, tennis courts, and more. Endorsed with dogs to be used by the American Kennel Club, artificial lawn may also be effectively used, when united with a regular grooming routine, for public and private dog parks. Grooming would contain ordinary "dog owner responsibilities" including removing detritus and relaxing the floors, with cleaning agents, every once in awhile.
New York State's Division of Parks & Recreation (DPR) is becoming increasingly dependent on artificial turf as an alternative for asphalt and natural grass sports fields across the town. Through the installation of the "new generation" of synthetic turf, DPR attempts to increase community access to areas together with to fix the care difficulties of lawn and the esthetic and security problems linked with road. This surface gives all-weather playability and lower maintenance costs than grass. The NYC Department of Parks continues to be installing synthetic grass widely throughout the parks system. As of 2007, 118 synthetic lawn installments were completed and an additional 91 under building!
Global Syn-Turf is an exclusive artificial grass partner of San Francisco 49ers.
Synthetic turf is more durable than natural turf and can be used without the rest periods that natural turf requires to keep the turf healthy. The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (NYCDPR) estimates that on an annual basis, permitted use (hours per year) for synthetic turf athletic fields is 28 percent higher than for natural grass fields. The maintenance costs of synthetic turf will vary depending on the field's use and design, but are typically estimated to be lower than the maintenance costs of natural turf. Natural turf requires regular mowing, fertilizer application, pest control and possibly watering. Synthetic turf requires replacing infill materials, repairing seams and removing weeds and moss. Specialized equipment, which may or may not be included in the field's purchase price, is required for these activities.
When it comes to the artificial grass fields installations, most of installers have been using crumb rubber along with silica sands as the main infills. The blades of sport field synthetic grass products are at least 2-1/4" tall which provide enough room for infills. The purpose of having infills in sport fields is to provide enough cushioning for the fields thus to reduce the risks of body injuries. Crumb rubber and sand mix can serve such purpose very well. Crumb rubber is produced by grinding used tires. Steel and fiber tire components are removed during the process and the rubber pellets are sorted by size. Pellet sizes ranging from about one-sixteenth to one-quarter inch in diameter are used on synthetic turf. Crumb rubber is typically applied at a rate of two to three pounds per square foot of field surface. Studies have been conducted by the California Environmental Protection Agency Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health to assess the potential for ingestion exposure to the chemicals in crumb rubber by children playing on synthetic turf. Both studies concluded that health risks to children resulting from the ingestion of crumb rubber are low.
However, there are still a lot people don't like the idea to use the crumb rubber in synthetic grass sport fields, it can get real hot to levels of discomfort, plus the rubber will get on people's body and travel on and off the field. Many parents have complained that their kids were covered with black rubbers after playing on the fields. Again, even though the available information on crumb rubber and crumb rubber infilled turf fields indicates that ingestion, dermal or inhalation exposures to chemicals in or released from crumb rubber do not pose a significant public health concern, leading synthetic grass companies such as Global Syn-Turf, Inc. has been working on new technologies and systems to get rid of the rubbers and take the synthetic grass sport fields applications to a new "All Green" level.

Most of artificial grass requires infills which to be installed onto the grass between blades to help the blades of grass stand up and also hold the turf down. It also protects the grass backing from ultraviolet rays which could eventually cause damage and void warranties. Some artificial grass infill options are ZeoFill, Green sand, Copper slag, Silica Sand and/or Rubber. Among all, ZeoFill is the #1 choice for synthetic turf infill for pet owners and playgrounds. Dog owners with artificial grass lawns have been struggled with urine smells for years.. Even though some leading turf manufacturers such as Global Syn-Turf, Inc. has made antimicrobial pet turf to resist the bacterial ammonia from adhering to the turf fibers, but regular infills would still hold ammonia urine resulting in a great deal of smell. Many people are trying to water down their turf once a week to get rid of the smell but never worked properly because water from a hose does not have enough force to push bacteria deep into the ground. ZeoFill is made out of a natural resource from the earth which is a negatively charged honey-combed molecular structure that absorbs the urine like a magnet and prevents the ammonia from forming a gas to become smelly. ZeoFill pulls any gases towards itself and hold it until sodium ion (Na) in rain water releases the magnetivity and the force of heavy rainfall will flush out the bacteria, forcing it through the turf into the ground making your turf virtually new again. The sodium forces the calcium ions out and recharges the ZeoFill when dry. However, ZeoFill will not remove bad bacteria. To remove bad bacteria, Global Syn-Turf, Inc. recommends nits very own Synthetic Grass Pet Odor Neutralizer, this enzyme products will not only neutralize the pet odor, but also remove bad bacteria and clean the turf, using this along with Zeofill will achieve the best possible results on pet's odor control!
To maximize the Benefits of ZeoFill, always install it on top of turf not under turf: When your dog urinates on the turf, the urine will instantly be consumed by the ZeoFill granules preventing ammonia bacteria particles from traveling through the turf. The ZeoFill granule will hold the ammonia water until it is cleaned with an enzyme solution or heavy rainwater flushes out the ZeoFill. The ZeoFill granules will be trapped inside the turf system and has a 5 year warranty on deterioration.
Thinking of grass lawns being installed at a house' front and back yards originated from England where the weather is quite accommodating to preserve and to grow natural grass. Here in particular states that are dry, such thought only will not fly! In cities situated in desert regions like Las Vegas, Nevada, Arizona and Phoenix, natural grass that is growing is extremely difficult. Artificial grass supplies an ideal alternative in such scenarios. As an industry, artificial grass is not so new, it has existed for over five decades. Nevertheless, to everyone, synthetic grass looks hardly old. "What? Synthetic grass? No way! You say, grass that imitates a real one? Do not scold. Artificial turf is going beyond golf courses and football fields to landscapes, backyards, and playground. When Steve Wallace of Santa Monica, California went for synthetic, he opted for longer blades and a darker green color a look he could never achieve with his natural lawn, which on 100-plus-degree summer days turned to dust, and on rainy days a mud pit. Tired of re-sodding twice a year not to mention the endless mowing and watering the 43-year-old homeowner was more than happy to plunk down $5,000 to see installers peel away his old lawn. Now, he says, two little children and his two dogs can romp and roll without enduring the plastic carpet burn of yore, or tearing up the turf. And maybe best of all is grassy it seems.
People have to go up close to it, he says, before they say, Wow, this isnt real.
Makers credit the new "you coulda fooled me" look to the marvels of science. Global Syn-Turf's Maronic, for one, tends to lapse into sports car talk when describing the "combination of aesthetics and functionality" offered by the firm's latest creation, a compact grass it calls Double W series, which contains such space age-seeming characteristics as "Double W shaped blades" and "No-glow technology." The first price on artificial grass is higher than natural grass, but given the fact of most of synthetic grass will continue at least 8-10 years, such investment however makes lots of sense for most homeowners, notably those live in "desert cities".
Thank you for your question.
