After trimming off the manufactures edge... How much usable turf will there be?

The exact width is 15’-2” without manufacturer’s flaps. In most applications, installers to cut off first couple of stitch lines especially for seaming purpose. Most our turf’s gauge is 3/8” (the distance between stitch lines), so even cutting off couple of stitch lines, you will lose just about 1” or so. For any further questions, please feel free to call us at 877 796 8873 or e-mail us at [email protected], thank you.

Is the wire mesh to protect from critters digging up under the artificial lawn?

The reason to install wire mesh under the turf is to prevent gophers or critters coming through. Wire mesh is always an option when it comes to turf installations, not all areas are having gopher or critters issues. For use on my lawn. Preferably medium size granular

Unfortunately we don’t, we only recommend using sand, zeolites and anti microbial coated sand for turf installations, to learn more about types of infills we offer, please visits our website or email us at [email protected], thank you.

Looking for your recommendation's best way. My plan at this time is 2 or 3 underground drip watering loups below the canopy. Do you recommend this type of system and if so, where should it be located in the base layers? Thank you.

The understand dripping system is a great idea: you can have the pipe buried under the turf base with water pointing up into the base rack: water will travel upwards then spread down to minimize chances of “channels” being created to harm the integrity of ground/base support of turf. Please feel free to email us at if you have any further questions, thank you.

Hi I am looking into artificial turf. I have measured the temperature of some reflective areas in the work zone at 140 F.

Not sure what you referring as “reflection”: window reflections of sun typically have much higher temperature than 140 F, such reflections can burn turf. If you are referring to reflections from other objects such as brick walls, the 140 F sounds close. Our turf can withhold 170 F without any problems. At between 170 and 200 F, the blades might start getting disformed, and turf will start getting melted at 200 F. In early 2022, we had the Superscape Max turf installed in our back yard. We notice a small section around the edge of the grass keeps "pooling" a small pile of sand (we think it's coming up from underneath the turf), and the turf looks to be "sinking" a little in the area (the area is about 4 inches by 4 inches). Do you know what is causing this? And, do you have suggestions for what we should do to fix this?

From what you are describing, I suspect the “shrinking” is due to some excessive heat which can be window or other object reflections or nearby heat sources like fence or pavements or objects being placed on the turf. Turf is like carpet which can be cut and patched, if you only have a 4”x4” area to be fixed and you still have any leftover turf from your original installation, you can cut the bad section out and patched with a new piece. To better assist you, we would like to see some pictures of your problem, you can email us at [email protected], thank you.
