She also changed her mind and said now she wants the t-cool in feel so I called Global Syn Turf and spoke with Carla over the phone. She was very kind and accommodating understanding my sense of urgency that the order needed to be placed today and put on a truck that afternoon. She rushed the order through and send it to the Jacksonville Florida Warehouse where they loaded it on a truck that day and a couple of days later the t-cool and Phil arrived. I ended up getting the job installed in time and the lady my customer was very very happy. She said the party went off with a great success and everyone loved the turf. I have been shopping artificial grass companies and quality artificial turf.  I made relentless telephone calls and did a lot of research online.  I narrowed my choice down to 3 companies based on a list of qualifications.  I was looking for a reputable company that had references and quality products.  At the end of the day my choice was Global Syn Turf for their Flo-Rite-Thru Pet Turf Technology.  The artificial turf is for my dog and I wanted the artificial turf to have superior drainage.  The Global Syn Turf Pet Turf has their patented Flo-Rite-Thru drainage at 121 inches per hour.  That is a lot of drainage and a lot more than all the other companies I researched.  It is imperative the pet urine drains down through the artificial turf and into the natural soils.  If the turf doesn't drain well you won't get this result.  The other thing I learned from Global Syn Turf is how to properly maintain artificial turf with pets.  Artificial Turf is labeled as low maintenance or no maintenance, however with Pets you need to provide frequent maintenance.  First and foremost you need to use water to rinse the artificial turf to help flush any and all dog urine through the turf down to the natural soil.  Secondly and equally important you need to use a enzyme based anti microbial anti bacterial Pet Deodorizer.  Don't dilute the deodorize but spray it directly on the turf, don't skimp, let it soak for a few hours and then rinse very very well.  If the odor smell still isn't gone then repeat the process.  None of this will hurt or discolor the grass in anyway.  I want to thank Global Syn Turf for their help to get turf.

Synthetic Turf Pros and Cons

Thinking of grass lawns being installed at a house' front and back yards originated from England where the weather is quite accommodating to preserve and to grow natural grass. Here in particular states that are dry, such thought only will not fly! In cities situated in desert regions like Las Vegas, Nevada, Arizona and Phoenix, natural grass that is growing is extremely difficult. Artificial grass supplies an ideal alternative in such scenarios. As an industry, artificial grass is not so new, it has existed for over five decades. Nevertheless, to everyone, synthetic grass looks hardly old.

"What? Synthetic grass? No way! You say, grass that imitates a real one?" Do not scold. In Saugus, Massachusetts, artificial turf is going beyond golf courses and football fields to landscapes, backyards, and playground. When Steve Wallace of Santa Monica, California went for synthetic, he opted for longer blades and a darker green color a look he could never achieve with his natural lawn, which on 100-plus-degree summer days turned to dust, and on rainy days a mud pit. Tired of re-sodding twice a year not to mention the endless mowing and watering the 43-year-old homeowner was more than happy to plunk down $5,000 to see installers peel away his old lawn. Now, he says, two little children and his two dogs can romp and roll without enduring the plastic carpet burn of yore, or tearing up the turf. And maybe best of all is grassy it seems.

Makers credit the new "you coulda fooled me" look to the marvels of science. Global Syn-Turf's Maronic, for one, tends to lapse into sports car talk when describing the "combination of aesthetics and functionality" offered by the firm's latest creation, a compact grass it calls Double W series, which contains such space age-seeming characteristics as "Double W shaped blades" and "No-glow technology." The first price on artificial grass is higher than natural grass, but given the fact of most of synthetic grass will continue at least 8-10 years, such investment however makes lots of sense for most homeowners, notably those live in "desert cities".

Better Than Real Putting Greens

Recently, artificial putting greens have been accommodated by lots of professional golfers within their own back yards in Saugus, Massachusetts. Bernhard Langer, the two time master winners, is among the latest golf stars to have putting greens and synthetic grass . "Bernhard never imagine that I was able to have the manicure appearance of golf green here right in my back yard!"

Compare that with a mean of $8-$12 per square foot for a routine artificial turf yard, and a backyard putting green looks like an excellent deal really given the use you will get from it.

When designed with originality and a spirit of enjoyment, a backyard putting green may be a popular gathering spot for family and friends to appreciate one another's business and the joy of the outside for a long time in the future. The answer is completely! These are two major kinds of artificial putting greens in the marketplace, the entirely in filled slitfilm kind will receive chip short pants and putting speed the same as actual greens and the non directional monofilament putting greens while installed and infilled correctly will attain a speed range of 12-15 ft.

Best Fake Grass for Dogs

Artificial turf in general, empties well and pet messes can be cleaned up readily. Leading artificial grass manufacturers like Global Syn-Turf, Inc., has developed pet grass with unique features including a knitted flow-through backing, lasting blades and antimicrobial protection. Artificial Grass for Playgrounds

When it comes to a playground application in Saugus, Massachusetts, what is the most important concern? Safety! We want our kids to play on the most safe surface possible when playing in a playground. Artificial grass installed over a proper base can provide an ASTM safety rating for fall heights up to 12 feet which is a standard natural grass never can achieve! A properly certified turf should also have a soft, consistent surface that is ADA accessible for easy wheelchair access. Since the grass wont displace like loose fill such as sand, rubber chips, or wood chips, the safety rating is easy to maintain at all times, even under play equipment. The synthetic grass on the market today provides an extremely natural appearance. Those who have seen the latest products are often surprised at how real it looks. Repairs on pour-in-place surfaces are often costly and unattractive. With synthetic grass, repairs are much less frequent, and when they are done they are virtually unnoticeable.

Synthetic Grass for Sports Fields

Artificial grass gained considerable attention in the 1960s, when it was used in the recently built Astrodome in Houston, Texas. Nevertheless, the first generation was simply a green plastic variant of carpet, quite man-made! Artificial turf can withstand more use and can therefore be used much more often. This allows sports ground owners in Saugus, Massachusetts to create more income from their facilities. The upkeep price is just 1/5 of that of actual grass.

Since the early 1990s, the application of synthetic grass in the more arid Western states of the United States has proceeded quickly to commercial and residential landscaping. The dramatic advancement in the quality and assortment of accessible synthetic grasses, the decreased cost of care and upkeep has driven this trend compared to natural grass.

No more mowing, either you are lazy or you want to spend more time with your kids and family, throw away your lawn mower, lay back and have fun.

No more chemicals, chemicals such as fertilizers for natural lawn will eventually end up in our soil and underground water, present great health threats to human life.

No neighbor lawn envy (at least for you!)

No more unnecessary noise

No pet urine spots

No moles or gophers

Certainly, both the economy and environmental issues work in artificial grasss favor.. Though still more expensive than real grass to buy and install it can cost up to several times as much as natural turf, or roughly $6,000 to $8,000 for a typical lawn but the lifetime savings add up. In drought-prone regions, municipalities like Los Angeles County have even provided tax rebates for residents who remove areas of natural lawn.

This surface offers all-weather playability and lower maintenance costs than grass. For example, since 1997, the NYC Department of Parks has been installing artificial turf extensively throughout the parks system.

Artificial Grass and Children Safety

Is artificial grass safe for children? A questions asked by many people who are considering synthetic grass for their houses. The answer is absolutely yes! More than 75 independent and credible studies from groups such as the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and statewide governmental agencies such as the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, New York State Department of Health and the California Environmental Protection Agency, have validated the safety of synthetic turf (see Position Statements to learn more). For 40 years, under EPA oversight and OSHA-regulated manufacturing, not one person has ever reported ill effects related to any materials associated with synthetic turf.

In October 2010, the California Office of Environmental Assessment completed its multi-year study of air quality above crumb rubber infilled synthetic turf, and bacteria in the turf, and reported that there were no public health concerns.

In July 2010, the Connecticut Department of Public Health announced that a new study of the risks to children and adults playing on synthetic turf fields containing crumb rubber infill shows "no elevated health risks.

A December 2009 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency scoping study of the health risks from inhalation, ingestion, and dermal contact with synthetic turf and crumb rubber found every test result to be "below levels of concern.

The California EPA released a report dated July 2009 which indicated there is a negligible human health risk from inhaling the air above synthetic turf.

Independent tests conducted by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and New York State Department of Health, released in May 2009, proved there were no significant health concerns at synthetic turf fields.

In July 2008, a U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission staff report approved the use of synthetic turf by children and people of all ages.

Infills for Synthetic Grass

Most synthetic turf products require infills which to be installed onto the grass between blades to help the blades of grass stand up and also hold the turf down. In addition, it protects the grass backing from ultraviolet rays that could cause damage and void guarantees. Some artificial grass infill options are ZeoFill, Green sand, Copper slag, Silica Sand and Rubber. Among all, ZeoFill is the choice for synthetic turf infill for playgrounds and pet owners. Dog owners with artificial grass lawns have been struggled with urine smells for years.. Many individuals want to water down their turf one time a week to get rid of the smell but never worked correctly because water from a hose does not have enough force to shove bacteria deep into the earth. ZeoFill is made out of a natural resource from the earth that is a negatively charged honey combed molecular structure that prevents the ammonia from forming a gas to become smelly and absorbs the urine. ZeoFill pulls any gases towards itself and hold it until sodium ion (Na ) in rain water releases the magnetivity and the force of heavy rainfall will flush out the bacteria, compelling it through the turf into the earth making your turf virtually new again. The sodium forces the calcium ions out and recharges the ZeoFill when dry. Nevertheless, ZeoFill will not remove bacteria that are poor. To remove poor bacteria, Global Syn-Turf, Inc. recommends nits very own Synthetic Grass Pet Odor Neutralizer, this enzyme products will not just neutralize the pet odor, but also remove poor bacteria and clean the turf, using this along with Zeofill will realize the best possible results on pet's odor control!

The ZeoFill granule will hold the ammonia water until it is cleaned out the ZeoFill with the enzyme solution or significant rainwater flushes. The ZeoFill granules will be trapped inside the turf system and contains a 5 year warranty on deterioration.
