Samuel, there is no reason to worry about the toxicity of artificial grass. All synthetic turf products by Global Syn-Turf are tested by independent laboratories on lead content. You can find certificates of analysis and Manufacturing Material Safety Datasheets here:

MSDS contains a clause about Hazardous Ingredients:

"This product" is considered to be a non-hazardous chemical under the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration Hazard Communication Standard 29CFR1910.1200.

The latest concern was raised by the use of rubber infill, that was made from recycled tires, and experts are worried about health implications for children.

The rubber infill has nothing to do with artificial grass. There are tons of natural, organic infill options you can use for artificial grass installation. In fact, Global Syn-Turf never promoted or sold rubber infill. We always recommend natural infills for residential and commercial projects.

To add a safety cushion for kids, your clients may want to use lawn pads or shock pads underneath the turf.

I have been searching around and all the information out there is talking about how safe these artificial turf is. Haven't seen negatives on health.
Their turf supposes to be good for human and pets.
They got all their testings on turf on this site.
All their turf is safe.
You can count on our turf, very safe.
We have all the testing results to show that our turf products are very same for human and pets.
I have my turf for over 3 years, and my kids and dogs play on it all day long, so far so good.
I searched up the internet, and can't find any thing about artificial grass being toxic.
Stay away from those crumb rubbers.
I did some research, artificial grass seems very safe. Not sure about the crumb rubber people using for those sport fields though.

It's advisable to use mild cleaning agents for artificial grass. With bleach, use it in a proportion 1/10 - one part of bleach and ten parts of water, no less. After you clean your fence, rinse your synthetic turf surface with water long enough to remove any leftover bleach.

I don't think it a good idea to use bleach on the turf.
I will stay away from bleach.

Yes, absolutely and we would recommend putting a shock pad underneath.

Interesting idea. I prefer to install it on my lawn though.
There are a lot of basement installations in northeast and midwest markets.
We don't come across this type of turf installs in California.
Tuff being installed in basement is very popular in northwest and northeast region of the country.
I live in California, one of newer houses on slab, wish I have a basement to put turf in.
Never thought about that, a great idea to consider converting my basement into a putting green.
Looks awesome! I have a large basement, never got to it... but It's a great idea to green it up!

Yes, we have our turf independent tested and passes all nine levels for fire retardant. We have test sheets available from the office staff. Our turf is installed at former Angels manager Mike Scioscia house, and it had melted but turf helped stop the house from going up.

You can always find the flammability report on this link: https://www.globalsynturf.com/artificial-grass-specifications-specs
Good to know, and I saw some testing results on this site.
I do BBQ on the turf all the time, and dropped flames on the turf couple of times, didn't catch on fire.
I have seen melting turf, but haven't heard any fire on turf.
You don't need to worry about our turf to catch on fire, but artificial grass is made of PE and PP so they do melt at high heat point.
Our turf won't catch on fire, but be careful about melting with window reflections.
People threw cigaret butts on my lawn before, it didn't catch fire, but left a little burn spot.
Thumb up!
Good to know.
Does your product use flame retardants in order to make it fire safe?
